the easiest 5 stars
The easiest 5 stars I’ve given this year.Beautiful, everything about it was beautiful. The writing, the characters, the plot, the values, the romance, the hope, the growth, the music. It was perfect.Noah struggles with his new condition, his new normal. He refuses to accept his blindness and he’s bitter and enraged with life, with himself. Then Charlotte enters his life with the compassion and light of an Angel ready to make his life better than the darkness he’s been living in. She’s a violinist on the category of virtuoso. But because she needs a job, she becomes Noah’s assistant and savior. And they of course fall in love so deep I’m pretty sure they must be soulmates. It was so easy to love them, it reminded me of The Secret Garden but for adults. And it actually got referenced and it just made me beyond happy.

What a wonderful story!
I loved this book. Emma Scott writes with such passion that you feel every emotion the characters feel. This book encompasses the entire spectrum - grief, frustration, anger, joy, hope. The story of Noah and Charlotte is not always an easy one but, you are pulled into their lives from the first page and it is difficult to put the book down. I found myself wondering what was going to happen next when I should have been sleeping. Isn't that truly the sign of a great book? You keep thinking about the characters and the words on the page, even when you are doing something else? If you love a good romance novel with all the feels, this book is for you.

Box of tissues good!!! 😭
I read the first few chapters at work on my lunch break, then when I got home I carried on and I was just blown away! By the time I got to the bit where Noah disappeared for the evening I was in pieces! Big old tears pouring down my face where I was so caught up in the emotion of the book! Even my husband was asking me why I was crying! Each word was wonderful and its been a while since I read something with such emotion! And I didnt want it to end, but it always does and how sweet that ending was! More tears!!! I shall be following this writer now. Great story!

Amazing 5* read!!
Wow, just freaking wow!Emma Scott, you are a literary bloody genius! I'm seriously struggling to find the words that will sum up how much I just absolutely adored this emotional, stunning & beautifully tragic story!I hope this is going to make sense..You know the difference between a book you're thoroughly hooked on, and a book you're simply reading? Well this book was different. With every chapter that passed and as the story developed, I wasn't just reading it, I was absorbing it. Feeling every emotion that the characters were going through. There's connecting with characters, then there's really experiencing them and their story. These types of books don't come around too often. This is seriously an exceptionally talented writer, to have the ability to temporarily change your reality, just amazing!I shan't go on and explain what happens in the book because I hate spoilers in reviews and you can see the synopsis, but I will say that it was incredible, one of the best I've ever read, and I cannot recommend it enough!Bravo Ms Scott, for an absolutely masterpiece!
