No, it does not matter. The camera comes with its own preinstalled SIM card and Plan. You can use the camera with any smartphone as long as you can download the SPYPOINT mobile application onto it. The camera requires a class10 SD card between 2 GB and 32 GB, formatted in the FAT32 format with the latest firmware installed.

Sammantha is correct. Easy fix. You have to download the latest firmware version to your sd card and the problem will be solved. Also prior to firmware update format your sd cards and leave them in the camera they were first installed in. Don't play musical chairs with your sd cards!
