Good for mail sorting or storing printer papers.
I bought this unit to help me sort through my mail. It comes unassembled, but goes together very quickly. Also helpful are the handy fold down tabs for labeling the bins. Since it is all cardboard, the whole width of the unit needs to be resting on a flat surface, otherwise the sides will sag, as I found out. My only complaint is I wish it came in other colors. I have a similar one for storing different types of printer papers.

You can't expect it to act like a wooden or plastic paper keeper
I find that the tabs holding the row above are not totally reliable. I've had to use clips to keep a couple of the spaces in line. That being said, this is advertised as a mail slot device, even though the picture shows craft paper in the slots. It would probably be perfect for mail and does reasonably well for paper storage.

Nice & Sturdy, but a pain to assemble
This item came in pieces, so assembly was required. There were also instructions included, which helped a ton which assembly. However, this product could not have been more painful to assemble. It was very difficult to do by yourself.Once it was assembled, it was super easy to lift. I used it to organize my weekly social studies newspapers for my classroom (best idea ever!).I gave it a 4 becuase although it was hard to assemble, it is super useful for my classroom.

Functional and looks nice in classroom
Perfect! Exactly what I needed to store daily morning work folders, journals, and take home folders for my entire class. Each student has their own space, I can glance through the slots and see any missing folders or math journals without having to flip through them one at a time. I labeled and use the bottom three slots for "lined paper," "blank paper," and "graph paper" and keep a small stack of each handy for those students who may not have what they need. This is made of cardboard so storing anything on top of this unit is not a good idea. I had originally place a small box of calculators on it but saw that even that small amount of weight was making it sag. It was super easy to assemble and looks great on top of the laptop cart in our room. Students can pick up all they need for the day in one station.

The side is already torn and since it was already bent to begin with I lose some of the shelf space.
The mailboxes were a good size and a I like that there were 30. However, the outer support was bent making the mailboxes line up unevenly and sag. The directions were not so clear either. I had to google a youtube video to put it together.I am updating my review. A short time after I have set it up in my classroom the side is already torn. And since it does not sit nicely I lose the three top mailboxes. I was really happy with this purchase the first time I bought this, but this one is not working out so nicely and it cost way too much for junk.

Not meant for anything other than a few light pieces of paper & very gentle users.
I was excited to find this product as an inexpensive way to sort/store different types of labels I use in my business. I am not a teacher & therefore not using this as a mailbox in a classroom. I wanted to write this review in case anyone sees this product & considers it for other uses like I did.I think that it would be fine if used by very gentle students to hold just a few pieces of paper in each slot, but it is NOT at all suited for any weight in the slots.I have, on average, 100 sheets of labels in each slot. Obviously, labels are heavier than regular paper, but after about a week in use it started to collapse...badly. I ended up cutting shelf-high pieces of dowel rods & glued 1 rod in each of the four corners of each slot (that's 120 1.75" pieces of wood- total pain!!!) to try & hold up the relatively thin cardboard which isn't engineered to have much support to hold up each shelf. I tried only gluing the rods in the back 2 corners of each slot but that wasn't sufficient. It's usable with the rods in place, but it was a lot of effort...wish I would have just spent a little more & gotten a better quality set of shelves.Anyway, if you're thinking of putting more than maybe 20 sheets of regular paper in each slot &/or have little kids that might be a bit rough, I'd highly recommend that you NOT purchase this product. It could be much better if the cardboard were a heavier grade.

File holder
This was purchased for a kindergarten teacher, and it is much needed in a classroom is one of the most important things to have when you first start out as a teacher. It is made a very heavy duty cardboard and it’s very simple to put together, but very practical

Love this product
I posted a photo so you can see that I have the mailbox loaded with some heavy 11x17 regular and photo paper and I also have a keyboard box on top. I put this on a shelf I had made so I'd have extra space underneath for paper that I have more than a ream of, whoever these cubbies would hold a ream of paper. I did insert the tabs incorrectly as the top tab is not there because it is on the bottom, which I just folded under. It didn't matter to me to disassemble and reassemble to have the tabs on top. For those that ask what this is made of, it clearly says "Sturdy corrugated boxes", that means cardboard. It is as study as a cardboard banker box, which in my opinion is very sturdy.
