Cool White Rechargeable Motion Activated Light Strip for Closet Gun Safe Stairs, 6.56ft LED Motion Sensor Cabinet Strip Light

I recently had luxury vinyl flooring installed and the step down into our entry became almost invisible. I mounted thise strip lights under the step nose so that when someone approaches from inside to step down or from the front door to step up, the light automatically turns on and the step is brought into instant visibility. I use a nearby outliet that I equipped with a USB power outlet to power the strip and it is a great safety item. It is not only useful, but unobtrusive as well as making the step attractive. My house has one of those unfortunate entryways where the front door is lower than the entire first floor by one step. Being an older house, there are no outlets near this unexpected little feature, so I couldn't even put a night light there.I bought two of these rechargeable motion sensing light strips as the width of the drop is five feet and the led strips themselves are only one meter long (a little over 3 feet).Did I mention these are rechargeable? The sensor piece is small and light because it doesn't need to have four AA batteries in it. It recharges via micro USB. Time will tell how well the battery performs.The led strip can be cut with scissors at special places that are marked. I cut one at 32" and one at 28", giving me 60" of length. (There was no option for 30" and 30", sadly.) I adhered the strips just below the lip of the step and stuck the sensors about a foot up the wall. Walking past the sensors in the dark now makes it very clear that there is a potential trip/fall hazard nearby.The sensors are magnetic and come with a little metal disc that you stick to the wall. When they need a recharge, just lift them off the magnetic mount and disconnect the led cable. Stick them on a charger and walk away for a couple hours.The sensors have about 100 degrees of motion detection from side to side. You do have to be approaching them diagonally or directly in front for them to trigger. They won't see you if you approach from the side.The night mode works great. In full dark, both strips will light up. Around dusk, only one will light up because that creates enough light to convince the other sensor it's still daylight. Keep that in mind if you want to place them as I did, with each sensor facing the other's light strip.Be very careful when peeling off the paper that covers the adhesive. It's easy to accidentally tear off the adhesive and then wonder why it doesn't stick.Suggestions for improvement: These light strips are BRIGHT. I would have happily accepted lower LED brightness or fewer LEDs per foot for a longer strip of lights. I know there's only so many LEDs that can be powered by one 5V source. A longer, dimmer strip would make a perfect motion sensitive night light for highlighting trip hazards.

Bright but battery needs to recharge too soon. Kinda annoying. Remote didn’t stick to the wall at all. The strip did just fine

Light flickers when moved, looks like a connector issues. It worked fine for few days, but not so good now. Will try customer service to resolve the issue and report back.

The media could not be loaded.  I was looking for a tool cabinet lighting solution, so tried these. I am very happy with these lights. I was afraid the motion sensors would not pick up motion so close, ie: within a foot or two, but they do. I plued small strips of plastic so I could hand the sensors, and put 4 in this cabinet, one in the drawer, and one in each shelf. They work great. every week or two, i just pop out the ends and take home and recharge, then take back to work the next morning, and they light up my tool cabinet for another week or two. The adhesive was good enough to stick to the semi rough wood, without falling. I did staple them tho, just to be sure. I ended up with one or two staples thru the strip, but the lights still worked great. love these for a battery free, motion sensing, easy lighting solution for my mobile tool cabinet.

Wow. There isn't much positive to say about these light strips other than the return and refund was easy! Sadly it would have been such a cool look.They were easy to set up. The sticky strip worked well and I feel it would have probably stayed up. The problems lay with the sensor/battery unit. They didn't work. When I say "they" - I purchased 2. So, I charged them fully. Set one light strip up and plugged in. Note: the sensor/battery has a circular magnet to attach to wall or whatever you have to apply. I liked that as you need to recharge. But, the light came on and wouldn't turn off. Even though I had set for 15 seconds and night only. I charged up and tried again. Now the light won't come on at all. So because I had already stuck the strip up I thought I'd try the sensor/battery pack of the other set in case one was bad. Nope. Neither worked. One of the sensors would work in pitch black - but only about 2 out of 10 tries. All in all, the other reviews that stated the sensors were bad - were right. Dang it. Cause it would be so cool if they worked! Needless to say, I just returned them. Going to look for some with better quality. Here's to hoping. In the meantime, I would NOT buy these.

L'autoadhésif n'est pas efficace. J'ai dû fixer le bandeau avec des agrafes (3) en polyéthylène qui sont suffisamment larges pour ne pas endommager le bandeau lumineux.

Éclaire très très bien malgré que ce soit à piles. Parfait pour éclairer l'intérieur d'un placard à jouets.Le détecteur de présence est un plus, c'est plutôt sympa.A voir dans le temps.

Sono rimasta soddisfatta! L’ho utilizzato come sotto mensola, l’adesivo ancora regge dopo mesi, intensità luce giusta, accensione automatica al passaggio quindi direi che il sensore funziona benissimo.Lo consiglio!
