Amazing product
This worked better than I expected, its built to work and trust me it does. Only down fall is I keep loosing the clip for the front cylinder retaining pin on the bottom. Would defiantly buy again and have already recommended.

It has it's limits.....not able to pull 4" trees without it falling off the skid steer.
I guess the first thing I am bothered about is that I was given delivery dates to my home after May 1. The item was shipped from the west coast to Illinois in 4 days and then sat in a warehouse 90 miles away from me and it took another week to have it brought over. Ok, the delivery system needs work. Nuff said. Now the tree puller itself. All in all, it is not a bad item. The second it showed up, I started working on it. The first thing I had to change were the quick connect hose fittings.....I have no clue what the manufacturer is for the ones they sent, but I use Parker fittings and I had bought spares just for this....I knew they would never fit. After putting it together, changing the grease zirks to higher quality zirks, greasing it well, adding tie wraps to the hoses so they don't dance around and get torn out, I started to play. After the first few smaller trees [1" - 2"], I was impressed....honestly. I thought I had the answer to my prayers. Then I went to a couple 4 inch trees......I rocked the tree a few times and then the whole damn tree puller fell off my standard skid steer quick attach. Nothing wrong with the skid steer. It's a Case 1845C and I have 7 other attachments that do not fall off. After putting it back together, I took it to the barn and after measuring........the verticle distance between the locking pin holes and the mounting bracket across the top is more than what the standard mounting plates have and the locking pins do not seat down far enough. So be careful if you buy this item. They advertise a standard mounting plate. For smaller trees it worked fine.....I need to figure out what I need to do to fix this thing so I can use it for larger trees as they advertise though......I know what to do but it's a shame I have to re-engineer this $999.00 item.....Update as of 5/20/17..........After using the item on over 75 saplings that were between 1" and 4" in diameter, I find the mounting plate to be of inferior quality. The mounting pin holes have warped to the point of needing repair and the width of the mounting plate itself is 1 1/4" too wide so the tree puller slides from side to side when trying to loosen the root system of the larger saplings. I regret buying this item and I will be having the metal analyzed to find out exactly what type of steel is used.......I find this item to be dangerous to use due to the terrible mounting bracket manufacturing.

Works well, but needs better pins.
Works fantastic, but pins for cylinder cheesy, clips fall out. pivot pin fell out and it bent mounting. I straightened all, fixed all pins. I would buy another. It works well.

Cheap price but cheap quality
I knew buying this item I would end of modifying puller from reading other reviews. Same problem other were having I was as well. But it was the cheapest puller I could find that was still in stock and didn't have a long wait time for ordering. Installed on my Kubota mx6000 about a 55hp tractor with the standard quick attach system on front loader(2300lbs lifting capacity). Out the box I noticed the top mounting bracket that comes out on a 45° angle, which slides over the top of Kubotas quick attach system (same angle for skid steers) was warped up from welding at factory. It did not seat properly. I started pulling 1 inch saplings item worked awesome I was excited but once I got to 4/5 inch diameter trees the whole attachment pulled off the front of my tractor bending all the mounting brackets to the point where they were almost unusable. Luckily for a living I'm a welder/ fabricator and a AWS certified welding inspector. I cut off all the factory mounting brackets and welded on thicker 3/8 carbon steel plate. Playing around with the old plates I cut off I noticed I could bend the steel very easily compared to your typical A36 mild carbon steel plate you would find on the shelves of home Depot. I believe it made of a cheaper low carbon steel(very soft). After welding on the new plates I also added gussets to the plates for extra strength which they did add one from the factory but it was a very poor engineering design and wasn't big enough in my opinion. I spent two days of my time cutting and welding on this unit plus spent another 75$ in supplies. Overall I would not recommend buying especially if you don't have access to a welder. Spend the extra couple hundred and get a better quality unit online they have many other manufacturers that seem good. For those wondering if you'll have enough power in a tractor to pull I would suggest 35 hp or larger. I can pull poplars and other shallow rooted trees up to 5 inch with a little wiggling around. oak and pines up to 2 1/2 inch.
