Wolford Women's Velvet de Luxe 50 Stay-Up

Wolford is the way to go when it comes to high quality tights. I know that they look expensive, and they are, but that is because the tights are so smooth, soft, and luxurious. I really recommend if you have not had luck with thigh highs before then you should put in the investment to get these stockings.

I'm 5'3" and 130 lbs and the small fits perfectly. I do have an athletic build, with muscular thighs, so anything smaller would be too tight. Anything larger would be too long. They come up right to my inseam, which is great so I can wear them with shorter skirts. But I could wear them a little lower without a problem. I've worn them a few times, and they haven't slipped even once. These are my first pair of thigh highs - they're spendy, but very worth it to me. One note that if you're looking for tights, these appear opaque when standing, but become more on the sheer side when sitting down. You may want to go up to their 80's.

Update January 2016: These are still working well for me! I hand wash them carefully after each use (which admittedly isn't terribly often -- maybe 4x/month) and they still look and feel great!-------Despite the horrendous price tag I decided to give these a try based on the reviews as well as my skepticism that any "stay up" tight would actually stay up. (I admit I did not try a cheaper version first --- I probably should have.)But these are pretty great. They absolutely stay up! And it's not because they're squeezing the life out of my legs and producing a nasty sausage-casing effect on my not-so-small and unattractively pale - blue-ish really - thighs. The silicone strips just magically keep them up, and they are totally comfortable. I was very happily surprised by the successful first wearing of these yesterday.I'm 5'10" and about 157lbs so a lot of tights get really thin when they're stretched out on me. But these remained pretty dark - if not 100% opaque - on me.Given the price tag, I'm certainly hoping they last a good long time. I'll drop another note here with an update on their wellbeing after future wearings...
