I'm not sure what the word temporary means to the makers of this product, but I'm almost two weeks into having the color and it's not budging. I like it, but there is a green tint to it, especially at my hair line. I have light brown hair. I tried one application on the hair at the nape of my neck to test it out. It was more grey and washed out easy. To get my hair fully covered to look black, I had to put 3 applications on. That may be why it isn't washing out as fast. Wear gloves and, if you can make it happen, have a friend apply it because it does stain the skin some. It also stained my tub when I washed it out, which did eventually come off. Overall, I like this, but be 100% sure you will like the color because it will linger a while.
