Not intended for walking
My feet are always cold, especially when watching tv. I do like these booties. They are large (I wear a 9.5 women's shoe; I do not think any shoe size above 10 womens would be long enough ?) they are cumbersome, and heavy. I microwaved each bootie (by itself) for 1 minute (total of 2 minutes). They stayed warm for an hour plus, but my feet continued to feel warm and comfortable much longer. Because the contents move around they are quite UN-comfortable to walk in. Consequently, I keep a pair of slippers close by in case I need to slip them on to walk.1. the heat feels moist. I liken it to the warm wax put on your feet during a pedicure.2. the booties cover my ankles which is big plus for me.3. because of the weight I cannot comfortably cross my legs. medically that might be a plus? I supposebecause of their weight they hold heat longer.4. I did not notice any objective odors and I have a very sensitive nose.5. the convenience of no extension cords or heating pads is a plus. Personally, I would not microwavelonger than a minute for each bootie. My opinion is overheating would not be good for the bootieor my foot.

Didn’t know how much I needed these
These heat up well in the microwave. They are big for me small feet (5.5-6) but I still like them. I wish they had a strap around the arch, which is besides my ankle the most soar achy part of my feet at the end of the day. They aren’t a shoe, they are not meant to walk around in. They are comfortable. They can be hard to put on if you are having knee or ankle issues but doable. Once you figure them out they become easier to get on. I’d say they are a bit pricey especially since only NEED the left due to an injury (I do enjoy having both tho) so I wish I could have bought one cheaper. They do their job and work as expected, don’t over heat them, it’s easy to do. They are cost and thick. I would buy again, and didn’t realize how much I needed these. Wrapping my feet in a flat heat pack is very difficult and not as effective.

Comfy and Cozy boots
I ordered this for my Mom she is suffering from Neuropath and her feet gets cold and numb even in the warmer weather. These shoes give her comfort and warm feeling, she likes it but she also says that they are a little heavy to carry. Overall its a good idea and a good product to own if you suffer with cold feet as well.

Best Microwaveable Boot So Far
I’ve tried other microwaveable booties and they only partially warmed the top of my feet. Or they were filled with gel and you couldn’t stand wearing them or they’d burst or they wouldn’t actually get hot. These aren’t made to walk in, but you can stand if necessary. In fact, putting weight on the boot presses the heat into the bottom of your feet. The material is very soft. The filling extends all around the feet-top, bottom, sides. They’re a little heavy but that feels good when you put your feet up while wearing them. I needed to microwave them for three minutes, instead of the 1 1/2 minutes they suggest you start with. And they can get hot. The warmth lasts up to 30 minutes. They are sizable and barely fit in my microwave, but they did with precise positioning. I like that they’re unscented so they don’t stink up my microwave. I tried battery operated, rechargeable boots, but they didn’t get hot.

Highly highly recommend
I've had these for nearly 2 years and they are as good as new. I've washed them only occasionally but they hold up just fine to washing. They greatly reduce my foot and ankle pain, heat up easily, and stay warm for a long time. Unless it's extremely hot I sleep in them even in summer, and even without being heated they help with positioning and reduce my pain. I enjoy the weight of them - they have natural buckwheat hulls inside, and the weight helps with pain as well as the heat.If you have any foot or ankle pain, give these a try. Very well worth it.

Not exactly slippers
These were promoted as slippers that could be warmed in the microwave, to gelp warm cold feet. They'd indeed have packs inside that yu can warm in the microwave, but it is unclear if you can put the whole slippers in, or take the packs out -- NOT an easy proposition -- to run-through the microwave. I tentatively put mine in whoever, one at a time, for 90 sec each. This did warm them without melting the polyester "slippers". And they are nice and warm. But they are heavy and unwieldy, and not really made to walk in.So -- as a warming source, would be improved with better directions. As slippers, a complete fail.

Received Returned Pair as “NEW”
1. First observation: it is evident that I was sent a “returned” pair. The most obvious observation was the repeated “sealing” w/ paper and other things stuck in the “sealed” package upon delivery as well as “dirty souls” indicating someone tested them out INCLUDING walking around (i.e., not designed as slippers). If I’d received a discount for “like new” it wouldn’t have been as big of an issue; note, however I do not know what previous order person’s personal foot hygiene was which makes me concerned.2. I agree per earlier comments that these foot warmers are exceedingly heavy; I am a 60 yr old female thinking these are heavy. I would not advocate for elderly. Note though, all of there packet inserts for heating purposes are needed to heat all part of feet. Furthermore, I am an 8 (female) and feet fit snuggly (just right) in the booties w/ all heating bead packets included.3. These absolutely and effectively heat up all parts of feet w/ 2 min 1000 Watt unlike other models. Note: the beads only stay warm for 10 min, so perhaps 3 min at 1000 Watt will last much longer.4. I would give a 5-star rating had the delivered pair ACTUALLY been NEW.
