I've now had these plants 6 months. They are still looking great; in fact once I figured out how to water them, they are looking better than ever. I have a designated large bowl to use for watering these plants. First, I fill the bowl with water, then let it sit for at least a couple of hours to allow it to come to room temperature, and to allow the chlorine to evaporate (I use tap water, and they don't mind if I take care). Then I place them into the water, upside down, but not allowing the base of plant to become soaked. These float so that isn't really a problem, but I always watch for that, like not allowing one plant to keep another under water (there might be some sibling rivalry there). I allow them to soak for 1 hour. I do this once a week. I bought a cute little copper water sprayer, but that was not sufficient. They love to be soaked.These plants are very healthy and vibrant. One of the plants was beginning to bloom when it arrived (Jan 24th, this review is written on Feb 2nd), and the blooms are now very, very beautiful pink and blue. I love these plants, but I must give a warning (and this my own fault because I did not read the descriptions). These plants are very large and I am having a tough time finding holders. I am now thinking I must think outside the box and put these plants onto the tops of vases or something similar in my house. These plants will be happy anywhere with sufficient sun light and water; and probably happier on top of a vase than stuck in a terrarium.

I love these little guys! I planned to use them indoors, but I'm thinking of placing some outside, too. However, I live in a dry climate (AZ) and was wondering if they would survive the hot summer months. I found a lot of great information about "tillandsias" (i.e. air plants) and one website was from an enthusiastic gardener from Tucson! She normally just sprays water on hers in the house, but outside she pours water over them once a week and they do great. I also checked the plant site for toxic plants for dogs and they weren't on the site, so I assume they are safe for animals.

The size was ok but nothing like the pictures. These pictures were taken after hydrating like instructed so you can imagine what they looked like before I hydrated them. I cannot get a refund and wasted $44.00 on these! Very sad as I have a wall planter I wanted to put them in. One of them seem ok They are very brittle and brown. Like the heat dried them out. No coloring in them.

I was expecting 5 different variations of air plant AS ADVERTISED in the pictures and instead I got 2 different variations. I feel like this is false advertising and I will probably be returning this item and piecing together 5 different plants myself since this company wants to lie to customers.

I was pleasantly surprised with the size of these air plants. They are beautiful and not tiny tiny like some other vendors sell. I will order again, only from this vendor.

These plants are beautiful. They appear to be healthy and one of them is even getting ready to bloom. Hopefully, she will have some "pups" after she blooms! Can't wait to see.
