A fun little device with much more uses than just cleaning jewelry. Great on bringing tiny gold chains back to life with a microwaved cup of hot water and a few drops of Dawn, sure it has a heater but it takes to long to heat up cold water. Just nuke a few cups of water before you start and save some time, the heater will hold the temperature until you're done playing. Warning, don't put your sunglasses in for more than a few seconds, my black Persols turned gray when ultrasonically degreased, had to car wax them back to black. As for silver jewelry... degrease before you "Baking Soda and Aluminum foil" off the tarnish in a separate glass tray of hot water. I put my Norelco electric razor head in for few minutes in the ultrasonic bath and it works like new. My wife really loves this toy, she always telling me about a piece of old jewelry she's now wearing that was just cleaned.
