Is this the stock box just a different filter? They look the same.

This is the performance air intake, so an upgrade from the stock. The whole box get's replaced along with the filter.

Does the ECU need recalibrated with this new intake?

Are you doing exhaust mods as well? If so, it is recommended. To optimize the performance aspect of adding a hi-flo intake, we would suggest an ECU reflash. It will give you the most bang for your buck.
