Works well on wood
Got it to replace using a scraper and and a wire brush to remove old and flaking paint before repainting a wood surface. It worked well for that.

Brushes slide out but easy fix.
I’ve ordered these particular brushes because they are quicker and they cut into that soft wood pretty good. When you first get this product the little metal pieces holding the brushes tend to not stick in there all that well. This is an easy fix, as you see I posted some epoxy, ($3-$6 pretty much anywhere, Walmart, Lowe’s, etc.) take all the loose ones out and mix epoxy accordingly. Put epoxy where they slide in (a decent amount), insert the metal pieces back into the slot and wipe excess epoxy. Let dry and your good to go. Once I did this I never had a problem with them and they last a good while. I’ve had the first one I bought for about 6 months and it still has half its brushes on (as shown in pic ^). All in all I gave it a five because once you fix this minor problem it lasts a good while and they make my job that much easier.

Works but won’t last under heavy use
Without a doubt did the job but didn’t last.I used this to strip char and paint off of a 2x. Was a decent amount of pieces which took a total of maybe 4 hours. The photo is an after. Pieces started to strip and it stopped doing its job since everything was bent so much. Would be nice if it lasted longer considering the price but I guess it was heavy use.Overall it worked well and I ended up buying another to finish the job which was a bit annoying. The end product was exactly what I got it for though.

Great at stripping
Great item just use it lightly no need to press hard or it will wear down fast

Had higher expectations
Purchased to replace worn out toro-zip tool that I used to remove paint. This tool didn’t work at all. Didn’t touch to paint.

Quality is ok
Another product that was made in the US at one time now made in China. Took way too long to remove the inner thin layer of bark from a live edge project. The brush is done aftrr only one project

A lot for a little
This little thing can pack a whole lotta punch. I’ve used it on both my crap Ryobi drill as well as my Dewalt. There is definitely a difference, but not a big one. Once this thing turns to crap I’m buying another one. Bang for your buck for sure

lot easier to use than a wire brush or sand paper
Used for Shou Sugi Ban....japanese method of preserving wood without using additives or chemicals by burning it..BUT..removing the charred/blackened part of the wood can be time consuming usinga wire brush or sanding paper.....and they come in many different grits....just like sand paper
