I used these to mount an electrical switch station on a piece of equipment. Don't put your finger between these magnets and metal. I used 2 of them about 2 inches apart. The box can only be removed by sliding it to the edge and then prying down or up to break magnetic force.

I use these to keep the bell sound on my anvil quiet (Old timer educated me that by placing a rare earth magnet on them deadens the painful bell tone even with ear pro) but I wondered why ship wood screws for the fastener? I discarded them and bought bolts with brass nuts from Home Depot (They sell ones with a counter sink bevel head) and they fit fine and provide leverage to remove them if necessary. I greatly appreciate the protective cover with a silicon gasket to prevent the magnet from shattering upon accidental shock damage from unwanted collisions. They dont seem to have a strong field until you get close to a ferrous metal, by close I mean about 8-10mm then they they jump and seem to clamp on the thing lol.. I didnt test the load of 150lbs becauseA. Im 100% positive Im not picking up a 150lb load by my hand and a tiny screwB. I bought them to deaden sound not pick up a 270lb anvilSo far they work great for my use.. I will say they were labelled as magnetic hazards and they were packaged well so as to avoid causing damage to themselves or other objects (a box with bubble wrap inside around a tightly taped box with the magnet that had plastic discs under the flat contact surfaces). Other than a wood screw fastener that I found silly the product seems well made and well thought out.
