Yolobox Pro: Essential Tool for Streaming the Beaver County Softball Network!
I’ve been using the Yolobox Pro to stream games for the Beaver County Softball Network, and it has completely transformed the way we bring live sports to our viewers. This device is a powerhouse for live streaming, offering all-in-one capabilities that are perfect for sports coverage. Setup is a breeze, even at outdoor venues with limited internet access. The built-in 4G support lets us stream from virtually anywhere, ensuring that fans don’t miss a moment of the action. I love that I can connect multiple cameras and switch views seamlessly—it gives our broadcasts a professional look, with minimal effort. The Yolobox Pro’s touchscreen interface is intuitive, making it easy to adjust overlays, graphics, and scoreboards on the fly. It’s a game-changer for creating polished content without needing a full production team. And with its sturdy build, I trust it to hold up during our season’s many games and tournaments. If you’re serious about streaming, especially for sports, the Yolobox Pro is an investment worth making. It’s been a reliable partner for us, helping us keep our audience engaged and connected to every play. Highly recommend it for sports streamers or anyone wanting a portable, user-friendly streaming solution!

Stream live from anywhere
I have been live streaming off and on since early 2021. Having been in broadcast (television and radio) early in my life, I have had a consistent interest in broadcasting and streaming. When I decided to begin playing around with multi-camera setups, and having always had a passion to record and share my children's ball games and concerts for other family members and friends that might not be able to attend the event or game, I began a thorough search for ways to accomplish this. I came across many software programs but I needed something portable and simple. I stumbled across YoloBox during my searches and I have never looked back. I purchased the original Yolobox in April of 2021 and by November of that year I was so impressed with the customer service, the Facebook group (which was much smaller back then but still an amazing place get help and inspiration), and the regular and consistent updates and a new features, that I purchased the Yolobox Pro just a few months later in October of 21. While I am just a hobby streamer, streaming ball games and events that my children participate in, my children, as they have gotten older, have become very involved in each other's events originally manning one or more of the cameras to now doing play-by-play announcing, camera operation and video switching. My youngest son, now 13, has begun creating overlays, does all of the camera setups and video switching as well as participating in the "broadcast booth" of our live streaming table tennis games and tournaments. We typically run three to four cameras including a DJI Osmo Pocket 3, often with wireless HDMI, but also wired depending on the venue and set up availability. We often use UNO for web overlays and have recently begun using YoloCast again for creating overlays as well as some of the built-in ones. For our home table tennis setup we have set up a "broadcast booth" were those who are not currently playing a game or waiting for their turn alternate doing the play-by-play for the games just for fun and for experience. We use Rode Wireless Go 2 microphones that plug into the Yolobox directly. The biggest challenge we have faced is living in a rural area with minimal cell phone signal in many places and overcrowded networks within public events. The YoloCast system with Ardent Streaming Protocol is a game changer (no pun intended) for streamers with difficulty having strong and consistent Internet. The most amazing part of this is the impact that it has had on my kids lives. My 19-year-old and 13-year-old sons have become so enamored with the capabilities of Yolobox that they have decided that they want to take on broadcasting for local schools and events that generally could not afford to show off their games, and actually do the play-by-play broadcasting of those sporting events at no charge to the local schools to help increase excitement in the community as well as gain experience for themselves within an industry they are now considering potential futures in. Without Yolobox, I don't think that would have ever come to be. The instant replay feature was huge for us as well as the many other impressive updates that have been Incorporated into such an incredible and portable device. Yolobox has continued to innovate and listen/ interact with its users through Facebook and that is probably the most impressive aspect. Even though at times I've looked to see what other solutions might exist, I've always remained loyal to the Yolobox family. And the features/solutions that I might have looked for elsewhere always ended up being incorporated within this single setup unit itself. How many systems out there can you hand over to a couple of teenagers and within minutes be able to walk away and let them make the broadcast their own? Above all, that's been the greatest joy for me that has come out of YoloBox and I can't wait to continue the journey with them and Yolobox by our side.

This product makes Livestreaming, Recording a Podcast or Youtube video a breeze....
I bought the Yololiv Pro to Livestream, after seeing it on Amazon. I checked out all the video's on this product & all the functions, prior to purchasing it. This is a Game Changer for anyone that wants to Livestream with ease. The video inputs HDMI or USB C will immediately connect without any issues, so far that I've noticed. You can bypass using OBS & stream straight from the Yololiv Pro. This product resolved a lot of the issues I was having with OBS & EOS Utilities for my DSLR Camera's & OBSbot Webcam's. Now, All my camera's work & the video quality is amazing. The Yololiv Pro has features that made it a no brainer to purchase this product. I am amazed at the ease of use & quality. I tried ATEM Mini Pro & that was not anywhere near to the features of the Yololiv Pro. Which is also, Portable.... There's only a minor flaw with charging the Yololiv Pro - Read the instructions & purchase a V5 - 3A power adapter to properly charge & power the device, if you don't want to use battery power? You can also, stream for 3 to 4 hours on battery power. I love the Yololiv Pro & I am happy I purchased it.

A Solid Alternative to SlingStudio
10/1/22 I can say I was bummed when I had to take on the adventure of finding a different outfit for supporting our church services since SlingStudio's going out of the business. I needed something that was easy to use and would not require a full on media room setup with tons of boards...I just did not have that kind of time to deal with the mechanics of repurposing space to support those needs. On top of that, I needed to be able to train others as a backup. Because the YoloBox diagram is so poor, I am going to provide some notations from my experience in setting things up: 1. When selecting cameras for pairing with this, make certain they have HDMI output and not just USB. (I am going to tell you from trials/testing, attempting to use USB only cameras with converters will NOT work successfully.) The HDMI route provides the true plug and play experience when connecting to the YoloBox. 2. For the video stream from YoloBox to your computer, as a Mac user using USB 3 I relied on the HDMI out port. I connected this HDMI cable to DIGITNOW's Audio Video Capture Card-4K HDMI, which was then connected to my computer. Works FANTASTICALLY. 3. For streaming, I do not rely on YoloBox. I am using my computer for the internet connection functions given the connection as additional camera for YoloBox to the computer. You will need to connect the equipment to ethernet connection during the initial booting to allow for software updates. I did not purchase an additional SIM card for use in the device because my focus is on direct connection to Zoom. 4. With connecting to Zoom, the computer recognizes immediately the USB 3.0 link to DIGITNOW's Audio Video Capture Card-4K HDMI converter as another camera. You simply change your camera setting to the USB connection. From there, you have all cameras linked to YoloBox displayed within your Zoom session. 5. When using the SD Card, be certain it is a native format for a PC and not a Mac!!! I use the SD card for storing pictures and jpg versions of the weekly program. I display this as an overlay during service for those who are connected virtual will know the order of service. From this point, you refer back to YoloBox for all of the wonderful features you can utilize out-the-box. The touchscreen feature makes it super easy to do things on the fly, or automatically based on your settings. As a side note, YoloBox DOES work while plugged in at the same time. I read somewhere where it would not work while plugged in...this is a good thing because I have not noticed an extremely long battery life with the three cameras attached. Overall, I am pleased after being bummed. SlingStudio was fantastic in the ability to connect multiple cameras without the cords. For YoloBox, you just have to be creative in mapping out things that work best for your requirements.

Unreliable Hardware. Buggy Software. Poor Support.
I am on YBP #5 and at this point no longer comfortable using this in a professional setting. The first four YBP that I received were defective—two from Amazon and two from YoloLiv. I have tried posting these comments on YoloLiv’s Facebook forum. Their admins deleted it and banned me from the group. I am leaving this here to show my experience with YoloLiv as an example of what could happen to anyone. To YoloLiv’s credit, they did attempt to replace the initial defective unit and in the end, did replace it with a functional device, albeit seven weeks after starting the warranty process with four defective units received in a row. Seven weeks is a very long time to wait when the device is not a toy or something inexpensive, but that’s just my opinion. YBP #1 was purchased on Amazon. #1 was defective and sent back to MFG. #2 was sent to me by MFG. #3 was sent by MFG. #4 was purchased on Amazon. #5 was sent by MFG. YBP #01 would send video to zoom but no audio. Factory resets did nothing. Tested on multiple machines and operating systems. Battery would last maybe an hour, not the advertised four hours. Purchased from Official YoloLiv store on Amazon as brand new. YBP #02 was a replacement from factory. They sent me a used device that had loose USB ports—I sent it back. YBP #03 was a replacement from factory. Brand new and unopened. This had HDMI-2 port issues where the device kept trying to load HDMI-2 with nothing connected. Factory resets did nothing. YBP #04 had an unusual bright spot on the screen—about the size of an eraser head. This portion of the screen was very bright, much brighter than the rest of the screen, and clearly seen when on a white background. Purchased from Official YoloLiv store on Amazon. YBP #05 is a replacement from factory. Supposedly is brand new and “opened for testing”, this unit appears to function properly. No way to tell if it’s a new or another refurbished device. I am uncomfortable using this on a paid event and I have only done small tests at home. My experience with YBP having read their official forum for several weeks, is that YBP may work for some, but it appears to not work for many, and overall, it definitely has not worked for me. Go see for yourself—Official YoloLiv on Facebook. Many people are complaining about a myriad of problems, many of which I encountered, and some that I had yet to encounter. The warranty replacement process took about a month and a half of emails (many of which were not responded to by support), which led to lots of frustration, spending money on shipping to send back defective products, and a lot of uncertainty in if I had just wasted over a thousand dollars on a brick that was no longer in my possession. I went several weeks with no product and little to no communication, after sending my original and all of the defective replacements back to the manufacturer. The ridiculous, and tbh rather insulting part of all of this, support said they would replace my defective device only if I would praise them on social media for being an amazing company and their rep supposedly had to get special managerial approval to do this—as if they’re doing me a huge favor by replacing my defective device with a functioning unit when it is well within warranty period. YoloLiv should replace my defective device BECAUSE IT IS DEFECTIVE, not because I am bribing them with potential accolades. Bad form, Hook. In my opinion, the only acceptable response to this level of problem is, sorry for the inconvenience, here’s a brand new device. Out of the few multicam streams I did, one of them, YBP crashed mid performance. A different stream dropped frames when on faster upload than outgoing bitrate via Ethernet. Another stream had audio issues where it was cutting out. Only one stream seemed to work fine out of all of the streams that I did, and it was a single camera sitting at the back of the room connected to wifi where the router was on another floor of the building. Lol. My experience is that I wasted money to be a beta tester of a product when I was under the impression from several different YouTube personalities who are not sponsored by YoloLiv that this was a solid and tested device. Had I known about and seen their Facebook forum before purchasing, I would have not purchased and ran screaming for the hills. Perfect stereotypical example of, if a customer is treated well, they might tell a few friends but if a customer is disappointed, they will tell as many people who will listen.

Great for live streaming or recording anywhere
I use the Yolobox Pro for live streaming and videography work. It’s great for live streaming to multiple platforms simultaneously, it shows all of my comments on one screen which helps a lot. It also allows me to record to an SD card while I live stream and can get internet from a SIM card, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet cable. It allowed me to leave my Atem Mini and computer at home and simplified my work flow. It is a switcher, encoder, monitor, and recorder all in one, I love this thing.

Solid Build, But Falls Short as an All-in-One Solution
The build quality is fairly solid and gives a good first impression. I highly recommend pairing it with the YC Onion Cage if you go this route, as it adds much-needed security for your cable connections—especially important when working in the field. However, the feature set leaves something to be desired. While it performs adequately as a dedicated switcher, its live compositing capabilities fall short. I originally purchased this for live sports coverage, but the built-in scoreboard is extremely limited. Although it’s possible to integrate a custom scoreboard, doing so requires bringing along a laptop, as the scoring interface only functions within a full desktop browser environment. This is ultimately where the YB-Pro stumbles. It's marketed as an all-in-one switcher and compositing solution, but without a laptop, it simply can’t fulfill that promise—effectively defeating the purpose of an all-in-one device.
