Is there something else that I need to do to get it to count down? I followed the directions and set it to 5 min. but it only counts up from there!!!

Follow these steps. 1 - Press and hold the middle pause button until the display starts flashing. 2 - Set a non zero time on each side. 3 - When time is set Press and hold the middle pause button until display stops flashing. 4 - Turn the timer OFF then back ON. At this point the timer will now count down.

can this timer be used for scrabble tournaments? Does timer show negative time when someone goes over 25 minutes?

Dear customer, Please go for the 9903a or 9908. It does support negative time like running out of 25minutes counting down, then continuously to count up

Can this just be set to log time? I mean just log how much time each player has taken, total.

Technically it can count up for cumulative time, but this is a hassle. Once I've set it to count down, it won't count up again by following the instructions or setting the time to 0:00. I have to remove the battery to reset to default, then it will count up again.

Is there any difference between the 9903 and 9903A models? Also, can this clock be set for multiple periods with delay?
