Support is great!
Actually, I have three pairs in the 6" height! The recent ordered pair are 8". They feel more stable then the 6" boot.

Sizing issues, but high quality.
I have an older version of this shoe and even then, back when I ordered it, I had to get wide instead of a medium (I am normally a medium). However, this shoe, even a wide was not wide enough. Also, the toe cap pressed against my toe, enough that I'm sure it would have developed into a bigger problem. I didn't want to take the risk, so I returned it and decided to get the non-toe cap version. It takes a fair bit of work to find a size that fits properly, something that Timberland really needs to address, but once you do, that's where all the complaints end. This is a very high-quality boot. They finally added the loop on the back to help you pull it on (not that that is a representation of a high-quality boot, but it sure is nice), which wasn't present on earlier versions. Reviews say there are issues with the zipper, but my 4-year old version of this boot has the same zipper, and it has never failed me...knock on wood. The Timberland name is sureey represented by the comfort and quality of this boot.

They are light and comfortable, I really like the side Zipper
So I have been wearing these boots for a week at work, usually 8-10 hours a day. Now that they are broken in I figured I could give a fair review. I will start off by saying that I purchased a 10 medium which is what I always buy with shoes. They are just a little on the narrow side, not enough to cause me any problems. They are light and comfortable, I really like the side Zipper, on and off in seconds. Yesterday we got about 4" of snow and I wore them while shoveling. I did not slip once, I was leery about wearing them when it would be slippery out due to the sole design but I didn't have any problems. I intentionally tested to see how waterproof they are in the snow. My pant legs were soaked but my feet were nice and dry. Hopefully I will have the same result if I encounter a deep puddle.I am satisfied with the boots and I intend to buy another pair to wear on my bike. I will probably buy the wide just to see if they are a better fit. If the wide is not available I have no problem buying another pair of the mediums. YMMV

When your feet hurt, your work suffers
"When your feet hurt, your work suffers". Buying these boots has made that statement more true than ever, for me.Great arch support, comfy tongue, stretchy laces, that seem to stay tied quite well.Keep in mind, because the side zip panel doesn't open up fully, you will have to loosen the laces to put the boots on, so they aren't a zip-and-go solution like some paratrooper style boots. Having the side zip panel makes them more comfortable, so for me it's no longer an issue. They do tend to run a bit narrow, so if you have wider feet, you'll want to order half a size up, or your toes will be squished into the composite toe area. Some boots feel too "big" for motorcycle foot controls, as did my last pair of side zips. The right side toe slips under the shift lever with no repositioning of the foot, and braking with the left is still as good as any riding boot I've used. The soles are a bit tall in the heel, but that height is there for your comfort, for sure. A 9 hour day on my feet and I wasn't hating life as I have in the past.Very happy with these, let's hope Tia the Newfoundland doesn't eat them up like my last pair of Timberlands.Update! 4 months later and the toe leather is worn through. Rating adjusted to match overall quality

Size 10 is about right, but normal width is narrower than I expected.
I have not worn these boots for work yet, but the initial impression is that they're narrower than I expected. They feel OK on my feet, but the width may present a problem if I need to wear thick socks in cold weather. If I do end up buying these boots again, I will probably go for the wider version. The other thing that stood out is that the outline of the toe cap is somewhat visible. I definitely need toe protection, but I'm hoping the toe cap will blend in a bit more after the leather has stretched out a bit. Besides these things, the boots are light and appear to be well made, and I like the "not a mud magnet" waffle soles. Seems like good side-zip work boots are getting harder to find, and I just wish these didn't cost so much. We'll see if they're worth it.

Ok boot for summer but low quality
I actually love the feeling of these boots, they’re light and comfortable, but they have lasted me less than a year before the inner lining ripped out on both, and the outside became shaggy after a few weeks of wear. Decent boot, but low quality.
