I use this primarily when staying in hotel rooms, especially on high-touch surfaces like remotes, light switches, door handles, and bathroom counters. I was recently in the hospital for a week with 3 different infections at once. Very nearly died and all because my nieces refuse to clean up behind their sick cat with cat feces everywhere and I can't do anything with them, they just won't listen and just sit there in the filth. I am basically living out of my bedroom and I got sick because of that so when I got home from the hospital, this was one of the first things I ordered so I can keep my room sterilized so I won't get sick again until I can move away from here. This is definitely a life safer and actually works. You have to make sure and get the UV-C with the C on the end for it to kill the bacteria, other brands will falsely advertise but this is the real deal and I use it frequently to keep my room and items germ and bacteria free. I highly recommend this if you need to sterilize a room or items, especially if you travel, you want your hotel room clean or for whatever purpose you need this for and the price is very reasonable.

Not easy to detect anything. Hard to figure out how to use.

The reviews warn you that the item doesn't turn on, and they're right. 90% of the time it won't turn on. And with an item as dangerous as UV-C light, that's an issue because you really need to be able to control this. Another review also noted that there is a FDA warning for this item, and I've confirmed - the FDA specifically warns against this product because it exposes you to dangerous levels of UV-C light in a very short amount of time. And I can attest that for the period I was able to get this to turn on in the first place, even using the enclosed (allegedly) UV-protective goggles, the light hurt my eyes and caused minor burns to my skin. Dangerous and defective product. Should be withdrawn from Amazon.

This is a great uvc disinfect light. It allows surfaces to be rid of harmful bacteria and viruses in seconds. According to the test card it puts out uvc. Will update with bacteria growth test later.
