To be fair I always eat and smoke inside my car with my friends during lunch break, so it is good to have a car air purifier to sort out the smell.I never thought of it working that well, nonsmokers can't even realize I'd smoke or eat quite a bit during work, so I would recommend it for everyone who needs to keep their car smell flash.Easy to use, just plug in the car's power, tidy up the cable so every time you start your car it turns on automatically without touching a button.

Clean air is very important to me. Too many millions of people die every year as a result of dirty polluted air which in this day and age is shocking and disgusting. I have air purifiers in my house, and now I have one in my car too, and one that does the full works! Only 2 things i dont like on this unit. First and foremost, theres no auto mode so it can adjust the fan speed accordingly, and secondly, there is no way to turn the light brightness down, which at night is quite bright. I do have to say tho that the air coming out of it is noticeably cleaner.

I got a new Nissan Qashqai recently, which has been an absolute nightmare for my chemical sensitivities. Every trip out in it has been a nightmare, with it triggering an asthma attack.So I got this Phillips, specifically for dealing with the chemical pollution of the new car. There’s lots of data on how well all of the car purifiers deal with particulate pollution, but none on how well they do against chemical pollution (even though that’s one of the claims!).Hot days are the worst for offgassing, so have just added an Atmotube Pro to my armoury to make it less guesswork.The Atmotube has shown that this filter is next to useless for dealing with chemical pollution - on the scale produced by a new Qashqai at any rate. It won’t be much better at getting rid of chemical pollution in a traffic queue either (just put car on recycle anyway!).I’ve replaced this with 2.5 kg of carbon in mesh bags, and just waiting for the next hot day to do a like-for-like comparison (could be next year, here in sunny Northern Ireland lol)

Keeps turning itself off after a short period of time very noisy

First of all the speed cannot be changed. The touch so called button is not registering any input and the speed is at low all the time. It doesn't have a prefilter. The price should be 1/3.

BEWARE THAT THIS IS AN INTERNATIONAL PURCHASE AND IF YOU NEED TO RETURN (as I have) ITS A COSTLY EXPERIENCE!Advise to search for UK purchase as this wasn't clear on AMAZON UK!

Just buy a new cabin filter for your car and use your cars air con this is a joke
