Best Cake Pop Maker On The Block
I love making Cake Pops for family and friends. So when I received a Babycakes Pop Maker as a gift I was skeptical of how good my cake pops would turn out. It turned out to be as easy as 1, 2, 3. Over 40 recipes for different Cake Pops is included with the machine so following the simple directions I was trained to become a Cake Pop expert. I made the Red Velvet Cake Pops and they came out moist and delicious. What's best? It only took them 4 minutes to cook. For this reason I give the Babycakes Pop Maker a 5 Star rating. The machine also comes with a holder to put the Cake Pops in when the come out from cooking. It comes with 50 sticks for the Cake Pops and it comes with a utensil to remove the Cake Pops from the machine. Overall the Babycakes Pop Maker is a great machine for experts to beginners and would be a great present for yourself or a great gift for anyone who loves to bake and smile.

Works very well!
I really don't like the plug doesn't detach from the device to clean it, or the fact that it turns on as soon as you plug it in. However, as long as you grease the maker (and make sure you do), it is a very good device! The cakes cook quick and most importantly evenly. I've had mine for over a year now and if I had the storage I'd get another, just to be able to make more at once. A box of cake mix will get you several dozen so if you want to make it all it can take a while only being able to do 12 at a time vs. Using the oven with a cake pop pan with more cavities. This is great for the summer though when its just too hot to have the oven on but you want to bake something. I definitely recommend this. I have the BabyCakes chocolate/candy melter too and that also works great so I suggest getting both.

LOVE THIS! After years of struggling to get cakepops just right and failing in epic fashion- I finally got it, thanks to this! Very easy to use, very fool-proof. Be sure to fill the bottom reservoirs almost all the way to get it just right (you could make cute Santa hat ones if you only fill the bottom reservoirs about 3/4 full... found that out without trying). One cake mix makes about 5 dozen cake pops without all the mess of mixing a baked cake with frosting mushed in. Saves time in preparation and clean-up (and avoiding the gooey, cake-coated hands). The instruction booklet comes with instructions on how to make the cake pop coating just right and not have it turn into a clumpy mess or cause your cake pops to fall apart (an issue that has plagued me for years). Only downside is you have to time it yourself. It doesn't have its own timer (instructions state 6 minutes tops)- but lack of a timer is a minor issue compared to everything else it does so well. Definitely worth the money. I see myself using this quite often in the near future!

Fantastic for what it is, not starbucks but still pretty great! DO NOT BUY THE CANDY POT MELTER
Absolutely fantastic for what it is, it's quick and easy to use, just mix the batter and pour. It takes about 5-6 minutes to cook 12, they don't come out to starbucks quality, but they do come out pretty damn good! Get some Candy Melts from the wedding section at walmart to dip them in, we picked up bamboo sticks as well for 2 bucks (30 pack) and we made about 60 for a staff party and they were a hit! It takes a little time and effort if you're dipping the pops in chocolate (the best way to make them in my opinion) but it's well worth it. DO NOT BUT THE BABYCAKES CANDY MELTER. It takes a long time for it to heat up, you're much better off getting a cheap double boiler for your stove top for about 15-20 bucks maybe less?) It's MUCH faster and easier to use

broke during the first use!
i ordered this babybakes cp-94lv-purple. followed directions, plugged it in. waited for the green ready light, which never came on, but clearly the appliance was really HOT. put in the batter, which was immediately starting to burn, close it, but had to open it before the prescribed 4-6 min b/c it was clearly starting to burn. the cakes were burnt on the bottom and barely cooked on top, so i turned each cake ball over manually to cook the other side b/c the top was not hot enough to cook them, apparently. after they cooked thru, i took them out and tried it again with the remaining batter, and again they were cooking way too fast as i was pouring in the batter, hurrying to get them filled and the lid shut so the tops would have time to cook before the bottoms burned. when i closed the lid, i noticed the red power light was no longer lit up, but it was still plugged in. concerned i kept an eye on it to see if it would eventually come back on...waited and waited and waited. after 6 min, i opened the lid, batter was mostly raw and the appliance was feeling cool to the touch. i unplugged it and let it cool completely and tried to plug it back in later to see if it would heat back up. never did. power light never lit up again. COMPLETE DUD!!!!! i didnt even get ONE decent batch out of this pop maker. am returning it immediately to get my money back. very disappointing.

Easier and more fun than I thought!
I really hesitated - mainly because it just looked too easy. I imagined that the "pops" would be flat on one side and overdone on the other. Or just the opposite: too big for the cups and running between, making a mess. I could not have been more wrong. My very first time, I filled the cups as instructed. I was just sure that the bottom would be overdone on the ones I filled first. The great news is that every one was perfectly round and done on all sides and in the middle! The couple that got a little too full, flattened out a nice little rim that was easy to knock off so they were perfectly round as well. I have tried several cake mixes and even bread/muffin mixes that work just great. I really am surprised at what a good job the inexpensive little machine does. Hint: you will need more than the one stand provided, so keep the packing styrofoam wedge from your next box and make holes with an ice pick. You'll have all the cake pop holders you need to dip and ice.
