A fun way to refresh your polish
As a self taught polish learner I dip in and out of polish to refresh myself everytime I book a holiday to Poland . I would say I'm about a A1 i have completed the book polish doesn't bite and was looking for something fun. Before I start on polish tutor which is a bit more serious . I love polish work books and completing the exercises . I don't think you need a polish teacher as you can look up things online these days that's how i learnt . But hopefully I will be booking a community tutor on italki cheaply just for conversation practice.

Great book
This is an excellent course. The online version, which you can access using the key given in the leaflet inside the CD sleeve, is particularly suitable for self-study, because it gives you translations in English for words as well as the instructions. However you'll also need a good grammar, written in English, or even better a tutor (you can get cheap skype lessons from qualified tutors on some language learning websites).I particularly love the online version, it works very well on my tablet as well, and it's well laid out. You also have access to some additional exercises, most are blocked because you'd have to pay extra, but quite a few are accessible.I would highly recommend this book, particularly use with a tutor (that's how I found out about it, my tutor uses it for her lessons, and I supplement it with self study using the additional online exercises).

Excellent way to learn Polish!!
This is an excellent resource for anyone wanting to learn Polish. Yes it is all in Polish but that is the point! I accept for the absolute beginner it would be almost impossible to get started but with Google Translate it could be done.As an advanced learner of Polish I understand what is needed to build that foundation in this difficult language. This book is certainly a great start and its follow up is the next best step after completion. There are many well laid out exercises for beginners with helpful cultural content also. All in all a well structured, beneficial course for Polish learners! To jest doskonała książka!!I would also advise courses at the language school that created this book, Glossa, as they run excellent courses all year round in Krakow. Do widzenia!

Learning Polish as a Foreign Language
I find this book quite difficult. There are almost no English translations, so it's in the deep end. They do give you a CD to help, but we don't have a CD player anymore, so it would be great if they could do an online version to stream to go with the book.

Probably the best way to start Polish
This book has a really modern approach to learning Polish. It has lots of good, well-presented and varied exercises. It comes with a CD that is needed for the listening and speaking exercises. The different chapters take you through different life situations. The book is published under the name of a Krakow language school & Krakow is the centre for learning Polish as a foreign language. This shows in the modern, energetic approach of the book.
