My Four-Year PMR & Prednisone Challenge: How Amrit Yoga Helped Me Overcome PMR (Polymyalgia

Not Finished Yet But I Look Forward To Reading More
This book had to be written and is an inspiration for yoga teachers in particular who suffer from PMR. It shows how yoga therapy can be an effective treatment for those with PMR. I am a yoga teacher myself but not with as many years experience as Audrey and I am also younger. I have been wondering for the life of me how I got this terrible condition. She started on a dose which I would say is NOT a therapeutic dose. 20 mg is a therapeutic dose. 15 mg would not be effective for most people considering their heights and weights. Her Ayveridic MD should be put to shame for misleading her. 1 mg at a time is correct tapering. I am not finished this book yet so I will adjust my review once finished. I am looking forward to reading about how she used yoga to cope with her symptoms. I can 100 per cent relate to the loss of income as a result of not being able to work due to being disabled in the early stages.

A good companion for anyone on high dose prednisone therapy!
I think that this and "Coping with Prednisone" are good companions for anyone on high dose prednisone therapy. Both are serious, but with a nice amount of humor.

Disappointed
Disappointed with the book. It did not relate in any way, shape or form to the PMR diagnosis I received so to me it was a complete waste of money
