Placer County happens to have a lot of that, though. Placer still holds remnants of rustic charm from the gold rush years and times when things were made by hand, just like this candle. Instill a rustic, country essence in your home with this crackling wood wick soy candle. It smells of fresh-tanned leather, with mingling notes of campfire smoke. Handpoured in Seattle, WA with vegan soy wax in an 8 oz glass jar. We recommend burning for about 3 hours at a time.

I don't buy candles. I drunkenly bought this one. I regret nothing.I imagine that this is how Völundr's forge smells after he finishes forging a battle axe for his people.

Their soy wax candles and wax melts smell amazing! I've bought several different scents, and all of them smell exactly like you'd expect them to. Leather and Smoke, Back Porch Cigars, Walk in Forest Park, Glynda's Roses, and California Red are my favorite scents. The wood wicks in the candles are a nice feature and really do crackle as they burn. The soy wax burns at a lower temp and very evenly. I'm looking forward to trying all of their scents!

Other superior items available...
These candles smell nuts in the store and we had extremely high hopes for them. So good in fact you probably want a cologne with some of the scents or your house to have their scents permanently embedded in them. HOWEVER. when burning they do not smell at all. I've tried 2 of them over this holiday weekend, burning for a few hours each. Maybe a 5" radius around the candle if your lucky smells good. No where near a room filling ability. I bought 3 of these candles for $60. I know, I know, but we are candle sluts. Very disappointed in this product. Other brands that we find at niche stores or discount stores with unique scents like whiskey, suede/leather, tobacco, etc, for half the price blow these away. Be forewarned.
