COMPACT, COMFORT
I bought this chair to replace a large rolling two piece, wheeled recliner that I had had for quite sometime. The recliner resides in my large living room. It sits in the center and needs to either face the conversation pit, the TV or rotate and face the Lopi stove. The Thomas Payne recliner was just the ticket. It is not a big chair. I am 5'10" and around 160 lb and it is perfect for me. I would prefer it recline back just a bit further but is quite satisfactory the way it is. You sit down in it and it can adjust back with just a slight push. You can also rock it back to its max. You can select whether or not you want the footrest up. Being a small chair you can elect to have your feet on the floor or with just a flick of the leaver the footrest pops up. To sit back up you just push it down with your legs and it snaps into place.Mechanically I had a few issues when I assembled it. The mechanism which governs how far back the thing will go has a rail on which there are some spacers. There is a long cylindrical spacer and a short one. I found that I had to reverse them from the way they came from the factory. In my opinion they goofed up and had them on the rail wrong, preventing the chair from reclining far enough back. There was also a screw missing from the mechanism. I found that banging around in the large carton it shipped in and reinstalled it.The fake (Faux) leather that it is made of is great. It is soft and flexible. the padding is firm and located well for lumbar and head support. The rotation mechanism is both functional and nifty looking. The wood finish is well done and the chair itself is well thought out.I have found lots of people buy these for their RVs which makes sense because of its compact size. But if your on the fence looking for a small recliner for your house check this out. It is both comfortable and some what of a one off type stand alone chair. Try it You'll like it."

Bad packing
The docked stars are due to the extremely poor packaging these chairs are shipped in. Needed two for a small side by side tight area in our class B motor home . We took the rediculous sofa bed out. The chair is very comfortable and the perfect size. Now for the ugly side. Got both chairs on first order. One box was caved in, ripped, parts of chair sticking out. The wooden base was cracked in layers. We had to literally straighten and tangle it to gether but just could not live with the base. So we were able to pack the chair into the less damaged box og chair number 2, use a whole roll packing tape to wrap it. Kept 2 nf chair although we had to straighten it up too. Ok. A week later (prime)?)? The 3rd chair arrives. Metal parts sticking out of back of box, same flimsy box. Wooden base has a chip right in front, and a plastic part that went with reclining hinge fell out broken. Husband fix the hinge with something and covered the chip with brown touch up. We were ready to leave and had no time for another damaged chair. Sooo we compromised. Sure hope we don't regret this.!

Good replacement for bad RV Euro lounger.
Just received this chair and installed it in my RV to replace one that came with the Tiffin Allegro. This chair is far more attractive and the vinyl appears to be far superior to the original. ( It could hardly be worse.) It is quite comfortable and a little smaller than the original, which is good in an RV. It does, however, sit back a little too far when in the full upright position. It doesn't feel fully upright and it takes more space than it should because of this. There is a one-inch bushing in the mechanism that I am considering removing which should allow it become a smidgen more upright, but we'll see. The footrest snaps up very sharply, but this replaces the old Euro with the simple hassock which definitely took too much space, so it is welcome.

Imagine my disappointment when I put it together with no instructions or ...
I had high expectations for this chair and could hardly wait to struggle it into my small Class B+ RV. Imagine my disappointment when I put it together with no instructions or operation documents, since none were included; and found the seat inclined downward, not the slight angle depicted in the pictures on the Amazon site, but a full 30 degrees from level. It took 3 attempts at lunging forward to try to stand my 73 year old body upright. While I was sitting, I did try to swivel and was greeted with a very loud grinding noise. When I finally did return myself to the upright, I found two screws and a nut lying on the floor under the chair. . .not a lock washer in sight. While the fabric was nice, the operational features are atrocious-certainly not worth the over $400 price tag. I have arranged to return it and I'll shop elsewhere.(Edit) I emailed the manufacturer days ago to see if they had any answers for my concerns before I returned the chair with a, shall we say, less than stellar review. . .no answer yet. Oh well, Amazon as usual was spectacular with the return and refund process.(2nd Edit) I did finally get an email from Lippert, but they tried to explain away the seat angle as assisting in the reclining process. As for the grinding swivel track and loose bolts, they said send it back to Amazon and they would love to send a replacement. . .NO THANKS>

Stiffness in the Bottom
The chair is lacking adequate padding in the bottom part. It also in my estimate (5' 9') does not have enough height in the back for my head to rest in a comfortable manner. The reclining part works well. I wish that I had gone to a store and purchase this type of chair there. I would have a more comfortable fit by trying other chairs. The price does not match my expectations.
