We love this box for our first grader. As a substitute teacher I’ve seen first hand how kids struggle to get packages opened during lunch. With this box it’s easy for her to open and start eating. No need to wait around for an adult to open things for her. She loves it. Easy to clean and Leak proof as well.

We LOVE bento brands. Always our go to for school and travel with kids, this one was especially so cute with the little cat mermaids! My daughter loves taking her lunches in these boxes!

My daughter had to get this once she saw the mermaid kitties! It's very nice and sturdy. Food stays secure inside, no leaking at all. Easy to take apart to clean and wash. I thought it's a bit difficult to open and close because it closes tightly. You have to use 2 hands to really use some muscle since it's tight. Not like you can unlatch and lift. It has enough compartment for food items, but whenever I pack sandwiches it's hard to fit them in nicely. Overall, it does it's job and my 6 year old daughter uses it daily without complains.

The slots are very small .. definitely ok for a toddler 3 and under but not ok for a kindergarten lunch box.

Super cute box. But the alignment was off, and it was so hard for me to close, and impossible for my kindergartener. We have others like this, that didn’t have the issue. So it might’ve just been a bad one.

I have found that this bento box is VERY difficult to close. You really have to squeeze it closed with one hand while you push down the clasp with the other. I bought this lunchbox to save a few dollars versus the bentgo brand, but can honestly say that I don’t think it’s worth it as it is a struggle to close it every single time I use it That being said, the designs are cute (we have the mermaid cats), the variety and sizes of the compartments are convenient, and it is very durable (has held up longer than our bentgos after multiple runs through the dishwasher per week)
