ANODISED Aluminium Door Floor BAR Edge Trim Threshold RAMP 900mm x 40mm A11 Brown

This was needed to finish the edge I the door threshold between the new wooden floor in the dining room and the existing floor tiles in the kitchen. As the floor tiles were already down a Z bar was not suitable and in any case the difference in heights meant that a Z bar wouldn’t cut it. This worked perfectly as you can see from the image

Exactly what we needed

The strip itself is light but very strong, heavy duty and arrived in great time, well packaged. It was fairly easy to cut and fits its purpose, the standard of quality required. 1 star dropped due to the screws, which, are fit for purpose on installation but will not withstand in time if ever removed and re-used, the heads may shear. I saw the start of this when I initially used a standard size screwdriver, before dropping size to complete the install. But, they are only screws that can easily be replaced. Would buy again.

Happy works well

This is the second time I've ordered these. Ignore the horrible carpet in the picture, there's ongoing refurbs. These are a perfect transition between a wood/laminate and carpet floor with a little height difference. The metal colour goes great against the light grey flooring. Easy to cut with hacksaw. Will most likely get another couple for the last two rooms to be done.

It’s an ok item it wasn’t expensive for what it is but I find it’s not the best purchase I’ve made

Easy to install and cut fine with a metal jigsaw blade, adhesion was very good.

It's a good small step, plenty wide but only black coated so it will scratch and wear in time
