Great tool to help stop bedwetting
My son is 9 and we've been struggling with his bedwetting for years. Our pediatrician and a pediatric urologist both recommended this type of alarm. It honestly started working from day one. My son had been on medication to decrease his urine output. We were able to wean him off that within just a couple days of using the alarm. He wakes up to just the vibration, which is surprising since he is such a heavy sleeper (hence some of this issues of bedwetting), but is also great because he shares a room with his brother and this way the sound doesn't wake them both up. My son woke up to the vibration the very first night we decreased his medication. Because it clips right to the underwear, he woke up before he wet the bed and only needed to change his underwear. The only 2 times he has wet his bed since we have had this alarm (which is about a month now) was because it woke him up, he went to the bathroom, then didn't realize he took the alarm off while he was half asleep. I know we still have a ways to go since it is still alarming, which means he is not waking up on his own still, but for him to be able to wake up to a dry bed on a consistent basis is priceless. We had felt like such prisoners to his bedwetting between the loss of sleep for the whole family and the constant laundry. My son is so relieved and happy, which means everything to us. Wish we would have done it sooner.**Update: About a month after we got the alarm, it stopped working. The alarm itself would sound, but the sensor clip was no longer sensing wetness. We had done all the maintenance and troubleshooting that they recommended, but still couldn't get the sensor clip to work. I contacted the company directly through email, as they recommend. I can not say enough about their customer service. I received an apologetic email the very next day. The customer service agent told us she just needed the original order information, so she could verify the purchase. I emailed her the order information. To my shock, two days later I received a completely brand new unit in the mail with a prepaid shipping label to send back the original. The new unit has been working great. I couldn't be more pleased with how prompt and pleasant their customer service is. So good, and rare to see a company stand behind their product!!!

It actually works!
Well what do you know, this contraption actually works! We bought this for our 6.5 year old boy. The first night he slept in his own room and we realized it didnt wake him or us up that way (too far from us and he slept too heavily), so we moved his mattress to our room for the durarion of the "training". At first the alarm woke us up about 3 times a night. We were astounded the kid could produce so much urine at night (and yes we limited water after dinner and took him to the bathroom a couple of hours after his bedtime.) Still we were dilligent and continued to use the alarm every night, waking up 2-3 times a night. When he got off we had to change u dies and disposable bed pad, take off the device, rinse it, shake it off well to dry and reattach to new undies and reset. It was a bit of an ordeal and I felt like the parent of a newborn again that first couple of weeks. Then we started to see some signs it was working. Our kid was waking up more easily when it went off, and he wasnt fully wetting the bed and would "pause" then go more in the toilet after the alarm went off. It started going off only once or twice a night max. Then suddenly, at almost exactly one month from the time we started using it, something clicked and he started staying dry. It has been about 10 nights in a row now. Thankful we found this product and will be using it on our almost 5 year old next (after a bit of a break).

It actually works!!!
I never leave reviews, but I really felt I had to with this product. My son is 7 and never had one dry night....EVER. I wanted to wait a while before reviewing this product to see what happened. We are on night 40 since starting, and he hasn't used the alarm in over a week! The first 2 weeks were rough, but we were able to figure out his schedule. Right away, he was urinating a bit, and then would stop himself upon hearing the alarm, get me, and finish in the toilet. He would get up 2 times per night. He had his first dry night the second week! The key to this product working is that the child needs to be motivated to do it. By week 3, we made so much progress and he was getting up without the alarm and using the bathroom in the middle of the night. He then progressed to urinating in the morning, after holding it all night. He has been dry now for weeks. I never thought it would happen. For anyone out there struggling with this issue, please give this a try. It may not work for everyone, but it worked for us. Highly recommend trying.

excellent alarm
This is my fourth urine alarm as I have two boys who have needed treatment. Honestly I think this one is just as nice as the malem for a fraction of the cost. It's really a sturdy looking, nice product considering how low the price is. I like the arm band feature - it's better than putting holes in a shirt with malem, and the magnetic ones fall off way too easily (this is why we are buying a new one). Some kids might be bothered by the arm band, so be prepared to sell it to them (although my son wasn't bothered at all). Urine alarms work, but its been a slow process for us. It took my older son five months when he was six years old, and we are already 2 months into treatment with my younger son, who is now 7. He is close to being "cured" but I would guess we still have another 2 months of treatment in front of us. I think urine alarms are well worth it, but it's a huge investment in terms of lost sleep for mom and dad.

It works!!!
I didn't think it was possible, but this stopped my 7 year olds bed wetting in 10 days. It said it would take up to six weeks, but it happened so fast. He loved that he could design it himself and it helped with motivation. He never complained that it was uncomfortable. I had him wear underwear and a pull up over the underwear and it worked great. I cannot recommend this enough. You do need a child that is willing and motivated.
