Q: Does it contain Phthalates?

I don't know for sure but I know it's made out of stainless steel and I don't see any plastic or anything poison in it I do know that my wife enjoys it very much and she enjoys using it

Q: dishwasher safe? Description says to hand wash and also says dishwasher safe. Which is it?

I am very happy with my Thermos cup for hot beverages. I never put the mug in the dishwasher but take the cover apart to wash it by hand at least once a week. I think the cover could be put into the upper part of the dishwasher but I don’t think it is necessary.

Q: If my cat pushes it off the table with lid locked, will it spill?

It will not spill, as long as you have the lid in the closed position.

Q: Can you use a straw with it?

No it’s a slit not a hole. Keeps coffee hot 8-9 hrs. It’s outstanding
