Finally, no more overheating & crashing Dell 1525 laptop!
I recently bought one of these fans to use w/my Dell 1525 laptop. The laptop itself is new (to me), it replaces another 1525 that was having many problems so I decided to replace it with a similar model I found on eBay. Uunfortunately, I started having problems with the new laptop crashing the day I got it. After a little research, I realized it was crashing due to overheating.I'm disabled and it's much easier for me to use my laptop while it's still in it's carrying case, just open up the case and the laptop and boot up. That was never an issue with my other 1525 but this newer machine doesn't like it, it crashes after about an hour of use. I noticed in the system log messages saying something about CPU 0 shutting down to prevent damage. My brother recommended one of these fans, said his son had one and it worked great.I've been using the fan a few days now and I'm really impressed with it. It was only $20 but has decent build quality and is so quiet and seems pretty powerful. I can feel the air blowing up around the edges of the case. The fan is also very lightweight and thin, I can still zip closed the carrying case with the fan and laptop still inside. Another cool feature is the USB female connector, piggybacked to the male connector. I highly recommend this fan for anyone having problems with overheating electronics, be it a laptop, media player or whatever!

Good for casual browsing, decent for gaming.
I own a Razer Blade Stealth 13" laptop. When gaming and running graphic intensive games, like Killing Floor 2 or Battlefield, it tends to over heat, like a lot. Because of how thin it is and how closely packed all of it's internal components are, it's inevitable that the palm rests are going to double as a panini grill. For gaming I found this cooler to be alright. My expectations weren't too high because of the price and the reviews, but I had some hopes for it to fulfill my needs. When gaming, the palm rests are noticeably more cool than without the fans running. They still are nice and warm, but definitely not cold to the touch like some claim. However for standard internet browsing, like watching Youtube videos, reading articles, looking through Reddit etc. I found it to be really nice and it did cool down my computer. The blue LED lights don't really bother me too much. If you really wanted to you could put tape around where the lights leak out, or snip the LED wire that powers them, but my my computer mostly covers it up.For bigger laptops, I wouldn't recommend this cooler because of the power of the fans. It isn't as strong as shown in the sellers video, where the tissue is flapping up in the wind. However, they are stronger than some of the other coolers out there, like the cheap KLIM coolers (Do not buy those ones, they are horrible)It is not as quiet as I thought it would be, but I guess that at the speed they run at it's bound to make some noise - If you are curious, it's more of a low hum than a high pitched whizzing you would normally hear inside of computer towers or a PS4. So no, it doesn't sound like a jet engine either, and with my headset on it doesn't bother me at all. My friends told me that they couldn't pick up any fan/wind noises on my mic at all, so whatever. While it doesn't totally cool my PC's aluminium body, it at least does make a nice laptop stand and it supplies it with fresh air. In my opinion this is the cheapest laptop cooler that will actually get the job done to some extent. Other coolers cheaper than 15 dollars are usually built with crappy, under powered fans.(P.S: When you first get it you'll notice the air doesn't flow more than 3-5 inches off of the surface. I thought about it and realized that that would be completely unnecessary anyways because the laptop is always right up against the metal mesh anyways. So don't worry.)Edit 7/31/2020: I changed the rating from 3/5 to 4/5 because after a bit or testing I realized that it actually does a pretty good job and I might have been too harsh. Standard browsing I found it to be cool to the touch. Gaming, still a little warm but not as hot as it would be without the cooler. Good buy in my opinion. The only reason why its not a 5/5 would probably have to be because of its lack of features; an on/off switch for LED lights, a throttle for the fans or more spare USB ports on it's back side would have been nice, but I guess that's why its so cheap and simplistic. Just don't expect it to be as good as those fancy 50 or 60 dollar coolers, which actually boost performance and bring your CPU/GPU down to freezing temperatures.Update 7/31/2021: Okay first of all, I did not plan to update this review exactly a year later - it's insane because I was just browsing through my orders and I clicked on this product to write a review (I forgot I already made one and turns out that it's the exact date I wrote my last update... well this laptop cooler is very nice! I recommend it for its price :)

Lightweight - Quiet - Easy to Use
My product review is based upon my first day using this Topmate C3 (C302) cool pad. It came in a nice slender box with a card providing a Thank You and a 2 year warranty, and was in a plastic slip protector. The product is very lightweight, which I love and it is very quiet which I also love. The product adjusts to lay flat or angled. It has a small plug attached to a long cord for insertion into one of the ports on your lap top, which powers the product. When plugged in the blue light and fans come on. The blue light is not at all bothersome. When not in use there is an area on the underside of the product to store the plug/cord. I like that it has vents all over the product, top side, as well as the entire underside so it gets very good air flow. My lap top so far appears to be cooled just fine (I picked it up now and then to feel the underside to see if it's getting hot). I don't use it for gaming so I can't speak for the product's cooling performance in that regard, but I do use the product for work and Zoom meetings and to play music on YouTube so hopefully that gives some idea of performance for non-gaming purposes. I also think the product looks even better in person than in the picture. I am very happy with my purchase at this time.

Worth the Price
I decided to take a risk with purchasing a cheap cooling mat but I'm glad I did as it did not disappoint! My laptop averages about 10-20 degrees cooler with this mat than it does without (while gaming). There is noise, but it's very minimal. The light on the mat is completely covered by my laptop which is nice as it's obvious when it's on, but not a distraction. There are little lips that can hold your laptop in place, but I haven't been able to get them up yet.... Probably user error. Even without the lips, my laptop stays in place just fine at the angle I use it at. The power of the mat does come from the laptop itself which I'm not a huge fan of, but it is possible to use an external power outlet if you have a long enough cable to reach.
