Oooh, smooth~
I purchased this for dry brushing before showers and it seems to be doing a great job. The brush construction is simple, the natural bristles are anchored into a plastic bed which is attached to the wooden body with nails. If you're hypersensitive to aesthetics, I suppose the visible nails could bother you, but they don't affect the use of the brush at all and you certainly can't feel them. The curve of the sturdy handle is nice and it's just long enough for me to reach everywhere I need without having to bend in crazy positions. The bristles (what I think is the most important part) are a little firmer than I expected, but I had never dry brushed before. I'm used to the super soft facial brushes that are made for delicate skin. This brush is definitely not that, but it's not supposed to be. These bristles are firm and do a great job of loosening dry skin and getting circulation started. My legs are painfully white and typically very dry, moisturized or not, but since I've been dry brushing for the last few weeks they've smoothed out quite a bit.I keep it in a visible place (because I have a terrible memory) and dry brush pretty much everything, sans face and neck of course, in long strokes towards my heart/stomach before every shower with deliberate, but not crazy harsh, strokes. After the shower, I make sure to moisturize my legs and arms.Is it a miracle cure for bumps, cellulite, and unevenness? Not for me, but it has been an excellent tool to make my moisturizer far more effective and that has been well worth. My skin is smoother and my moisturizer actually does it's job now that it's not competing with a (excuse the grossness) layer of dead skin.

Gets the job done
I like this brush and think it is just fine for it's intended purpose. I got it to try out dry brushing. Some people are saying that it's not a real brush for dry brushing, but I guess I wouldn't know for sure, (because this is my first time trying it) but I like it for me just fine. If the bristles were any stiffer, I think it would hurt too much. I feel like this brush's bristles are plenty "coarse" enough. I don't have any medical issues that I need to dry brush for, I just wanted to give it a shot to reap the benefits. I do have some dry skin that I thought maybe it would help with too. I watched a You Tube video with experienced people talking about dry brushing, it's many benefits and the correct way to do it. They said you could get a dry brush that would work most anywhere. And I saw this same brush recommended from a person that also uses essential oils in combination with her dry brushing. I use essential oils too and use them after dry brushing with this brush. I've only used this brush a handful of times so far, but I like how it feels. If you're going to dry brush, I think you'll need to get used to the sensation and I believe this is a great brush to start with. If you're an experienced dry brusher, maybe you could upgrade later if you wanted, but I don't see myself needing any rougher bristles than this brush provides. The first couple of times I used this brush, a few bristles fell out, but that was it. They did not continue to fall out for me (at least not yet). The contour on this brush is nice too. It's easy to handle. Some brushes have long handles on them, but I don't see the need. If that was your preference, that's fine, but I can reach everywhere I need to on my body with this brush just fine. I'm average weight & height though, if that matters. I also like that you can hang this brush, though I don't currently have a hook to hang it on. I don't use this brush in the shower, I use it just before, as I've heard this is the proper way to do it with dry brushing. So I can't speak to how it may hold up when wet, as mine stays dry. I hope this review was helpful!

Perfect Dry Brush
This dry brush is perfect for your entire body! The bristles are not too stiff or too soft. It is exactly like my more expensive designer brand dry brush. I highly recommend this brush!

I think this is a good value
This is my first brush for dry brushing my skin. It is definitely making a difference, reducing the minor flaking that was always present, no matter how hard I scrubbed when washing. I do have to work at it, though, as it sometimes takes quite a lot of strokes in the same area to lift and remove the flakes. I'm not convinced that the angle of the head really helps as I have to switch hands for some body parts. However, I think this is a better brush for a right handed people than it would be for lefties. At first, I was very hesitant, and used it softly, then gradually increased pressure until I learned how much was comfortable. I was surprised how much pressure I tolerated (more than expected). Indeed it's even comforting.Okay, so why didn't I give this brush five stars? Well, there's the issue of whether or not the brush I purchased has boar bristles, palm bristles, or goodness only knows what bristles. There's also the issue of how well made it is. Long ago, I was an industrial nurse in a brush factory, and I came to have some appreciation for how well made brushes are. This just doesn't look as well made as our brushes were, with bristles which are tightly packed and well secured. It's possible that it will hold up better than I suspect, and that would be great.I think that this brush is a good value. If it turns out not to last as long as I hope, well, I didn't spend a great deal, I was able to find out that I like dry brushing and get a handle on how to do it, and I won't have lost much in the bargain. I have had salt/sugar scrubs a few times in the past, and I think my skin is as well exfoliated as it was after those, without the expense or bother, so that's very much to the good.
