nice product (see pics), not sure what the advantage of the "over the headrest" mount vs. the hook and velcro of this product is
nice product (see pics), not sure what the advantage of the "over the headrest" mount vs. the hook and velcro of this product is.- the plastic "hook" piece that attaches this to the headrest has a velcro strip that connects it to the cover. i found the velcro pulled away often when i sat in the seat however i guess it's good to be able to wash the cover without the plastic hook part (but i don't see this being an issue with the "over the headrest" no plastic hook product so ???). also the plastic hook doesn't really hold the product to the seat, i found as i got in and out of the car the cover would slide enough to unhook and the cover would fall down. other than that the cover is high quality, haven't washed it yet but i'm confident it will product my seats from spills, dirt etc. (more a construction guy than a workout sweat guy). anyway, if the hooks and velcro work for you then cover is very nice.- my solution to the velcro was to simply hot glue the hook and cover together, doubt I'll every wash it vs. just replacing it (see pics).- my solution for the hooks sliding of the head rest posts was a simple sprint clamp (see pics).- pic is in a 2017 Honda CR-V (for size ref).

Overall, a great buy, exactly as advertised, quality for your money
The CleanRide seat covers are a great, mobile, tough product. They are indeed waterproof, which is great for the sweaty monster I am after CrossFit. Really, really simple to install. They have ample size to cover the whole seat, both in length and width of my 2014 4Runner. They do not smell, amazingly, as advertised. They are comfortable on the skin, I dont know that i'd describe it quite like "silky", they have a synthetic fiber feel, like say a polypropylene that you get in alot of your atheletic clothing these days; so it's still plenty comfortable. About sticking to the skin, they do adhere to my skin, not like tape or anything, but I am totally drenched in sweat when I use them so I think it's more my skin being wet than it is the material. When I'm dry, there's no problem with sticking to skin. The only thing I think there's room for improvement on is how they fasten to the seat. Currently, it has a velcro seal to the hooks, which hang from the posts of the head rest and that's plenty stable it doesn't rip off. There is also a seam about midway down the seatcover that's meant to be tucked into the fold of your seat, around your lumbar back. For the most part, this holds the seat cover well. Also I think it's designed not to be strapped down seriously for your seat; and designed to be easily removed and put into place on the go.Personally I'd probably like another elastic strap low on the seat cover to fit around the base of the carseat, around perhaps your feet to fasten the bottom portion. The bottom portion can slide around, especially when you get into or out of the car. However, again it's probably not in the design to be well fastened because they made it to be taken on and off easily.Overall, a great buy, exactly as advertised, quality for your money

Great seat covers with one hitch (forget the hitch...)
I really like these seat covers. They are nondescript, simple in design, look good and do a great job of protecting the front seats. Not sure they were intended to be left on but I don’t take them off. They keep crumbs, etc. off the seats when I’m nibbling. My only complaint, is there needs to be a left and right headrest clip or velcro on both sides. As designed, the clips slide right to left around the headrest posts. This is fine for the passenger’s side, but the driver’s side clip has a tendency to slide to the right as the driver’s gets in and the cover falls off the upright seat back. If the clip could be reversed this wouldn’t happen. The one on my driver’s side had slid almost off and was hanging on one post by the outer clip arm. I didn’t notice that and when I sat down the arm on that clip took my entire weight and broke. I’ve ‘repaired’ it with a thin slat of wood and Gorilla tape, but it’s an ugly fix. I contacted CleanRide to see if I could purchase another clip, but have yet to hear back from them. If I can come up with a replacement I will look into putting a strip of industrial strength velcro on the other side.UPDATE: Just changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. I contacted CleanRide this morning via Amazon and they got back to me in very short time. I inquired about purchasing a replacement clip. They're replacing it free of charge. Here's part of the reply: "We would like to send you one free of charge because we always put our customers first. You are the bedrock of our business." They said to make sure the crease is tucked into the seat which allows for some slack and prevents too much pressure on the clip. Makes sense. One can't ask for better customer service than that!

Peace of Mind and Durable a Year Later
I bought two a year ago to transport relatives who are incontinent and have diarrhea problems to doctor and shopping trips. Instead of having to worry about having a smelly car for months, like my husband who brought an air freshener to try and cover up the urine smell, these seat covers give me peace of mind. Water beads up on them. They cover the seat well and being one long piece, I don't have to worry about liquids seeping between my seat cushions. The front side has a lightly etched pattern to make it more like cloth, so it doesn't feel like plastic against bare skin. Your legs can get a bit sweaty on hot days. I also like them on the seat for when we come back from the pool, my husband from a sweaty bike ride, and to keep the seat cooler in the summer.I also lay one cover out on my back seats to protect my leather seats from suitcases and bags. The plastic is sturdy and has not ripped in a year. They easily fold up to put behind a seat or store. You do need to tuck some between the seats and leave a bit extra along the backrest to prevent the plastic from pulling on the velcro and plastic clip a at the top. Otherwise, you get the unsticky velcro noises as you shift in your seat.I had bought two for my car a year, and when we bought a new car, I bought two more for it, so we have two sets in each car.
