Grass has not grown underneath as it does not appear to let water through and cuts off light
Item as described . Unfortunately my grass seed is not growing and the water does not appear to go through the product so seeds underneath dry . Would not use again

Simply good quality white fleece ~ 1 sheet folded
REF: TG-GSC-2-5SIZE: approximately 2 m x 5 m ‘18 gsm’ (from the current product description; nothing on the physical product)A note re sizing also from the current product description:📝 ‘Fleece sizes offered are taken when the fleece is at full stretch and no pegs are included. Please be sure to allow extra width and length for pegging, tying down and any additional slack you may require if the fleece is not supported. at regular short intervals it will sag adding to the amount required. Please always allow for spare in your calculation.’ooOooExactly as currently pictured in the stock images above this is, good quality fleece, which I am always in need of mainly for aiding temperature control but I am looking at seeding a patch of lawn in September, so have earmarked it for that.It looks delicate but feels tough, more so than my usual fleece. It appears to have a touch more stretchiness, which should prove handy when pinning down. The single sheet came neatly folded & tied in a brown paper wrapper that measured around 25 cm x 19 cm x 8 cm, with brown paper tape to seal.'Made in UK'[7 images attached]

The grass grew in late October (in Devon)
The grass grew in late October in Devon for me. I decided to give a bear patch seeds and a fleece. The fleece was because planting grass seeds was very late in the year. I clipped down the edges of the fleece with planks and rocks. The fleece stayed in tack the three weeks I needed it through high winds and heavy rain. The grass grew and even required a cut just last week. That's it now till spring, but I'm thrilled that the patch is green through the winter. Also, I wish I had used a fleece on the grass I grew in the summer. The results are excellent as the birds cannot eat the seeds—very consistent finish.

Not a great success
This didn't really work for me. Whilst it definitely kept the birds off it restricted the germination of the lawn seed. Despite regular watering and good, warm temperatures the grass just did not grow as well as other areas where I used a (much smaller) metal mesh.

Keeps the birds off
It works! I was eating my time trying to grow fmgrass as the pigeons just ate the seed the minute I put it down. The fleece kept the birds out and let the rain in. Surrounding mature grass between patches not damaged. Worth the cost as I was throwing away money on seed. Need to buy tent pegs to hold it down. Takes about 5 days before the seeds germinate. Delighted to have found this product.
