This is a very sturdy 1.25 inch curling iron that heats well and shuts off if you forget to turn it off. I have white/silver hair and use the lowest setting, 300 degrees at all times and have not had any discoloration or yellowing even though I use the curling iron daily. The iron heats up to 450 degrees with 3 additional lower heat settings, 4 in all. My hair is fine, and thinner, medium length and the iron curls in 5 seconds and the curls stay after combing and teasing. On occasion I get a crimp line where the clamp meets the barrel if there is more hair spray on my hair, but it quickly disappears before I comb out my hair. Most times I have no crimp line. The cord swivels nicely, is ample in length, the tip of the barrel is easy to grasp and stays cool while winding the hair on the barrel. It’s not super light and not super heavy so at my elderly age I find this iron very easy to hold and work with. I had a concern with the iron originally and Lanvier customer service was quite responsive, professional and remedied the concern quickly through their e-mail contact. The item was packaged carefully, securely, and the storage bag, which is a very nice, secure fabric that is plenty long to fit the curling iron, and directions were included. Everything about this purchase has been perfect for me. I did not receive any discount, freebie, or reward for providing this honest review. I just really like this curling item (I’ve had many over the years), and will definitely purchase from Lanvier again in the future.

After only using for 1 month the finish started flaking off. It was never used on the hottest setting.😧 Edit: Seller immediately reached out regarding the issues with the defective curling iron and promptly sent a replacement. I never expected such amazing customer service since most customer service has fallen by the wayside. Thank you for promptly addressing my issue!

I went on a spree to find a reasonably priced curling iron for my hair and this was the winner! My Hair: Medium-long, fine but full, almost pin straight but not quite. Holds a curl well using a flat iron but not much luck with a curling iron. 1.25" made great waves, loose curls on my past shoulder length hair. They also held all day with hair spray. Pros: It's really the attention to detail here that wins me over after the fact it actually curls my hair and it lasts. -The temperature light flashes until it's fully hot. No more guessing if it's ready! -The holder to keep the iron off the table/surface is covered in rubber so you can easily move it while the iron is hot. Comapred to the Hot Tools brand where the holder was all metal and therefore very hot to move - I really loved this detail. -Great range of heat temps -Barrel is on the longer side but not noticably longer than the Hot Tools irons I've tried. Cons: -The clamp on mine is a bit loose. I have to use a larger section of hair to have the clamp actually hold it in place. But I do kinda like this as it makes it easier to slide the hair in the iron as needed. Also doesn't leave as much of a clamp mark like others can. But if you have very thin hair this may not be helpful!

A week before buying this iron I was at TJ Max and found a Hot Tools brand curling iron, so I got it and I wasn’t impressed at all. I have long hair so I was looking for an extra long barrel and I stumbled across this one and I’ll totally in love with it. Just used for the first time and the curls are gorgeous, long lasting the temperature is spot on, it’s light weight and the 360 swivel helps make the process effortless. Literally the best curling iron I’ve ever used personally! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Ps. This is great for beginners and experts!!

I like to change up my hair style so I curled my hair with this iron about once or twice a week. This is a great curling iron that delivered beautiful results but after a month and a half of light use the ceramic coating on the iron barrel started coming off. I don’t use any other chemicals on my hair except for the heat protectant spray that I purchased on Amazon with this curling iron package. Then I noticed the iron would start turning off by itself while I’m using it which was frustrating when only part of my hair was curled. About 4 months of use it won’t stay on for more than a few minutes. Now it won’t even turn on. I have never dropped it and actually have taken very good care of it. It has just been sitting on my bathroom counter or in the bathroom drawer. I kept the box but can’t find the paperwork inside to see the warranty information. I’ve had it for less than a year so it should still be covered by the one year manufacturer warranty.

I purchased a new curling iron as I had had my old one fir so many years the coating was flaking off. Plus I wanted a smaller barrel. I really like this new one I purchased. The arm is not so tight but also not so loose. Holds on and is able to slide through my hair. Coating is really nice and smooth. Multiple temperatures that heats quickly. Really happy with my purchase and reasonably priced.

I love curling my hair, so I have bought a lot of curling irons over the years. By now, I know what I like about the good curling irons, and this one had all the features. I have long, thick hair and the extra long barrel allows me to curl a lot of hair quickly. And the tourmaline and ceramic barrel is good for the hair too. This curling iron works great to give me beautiful wavy curls! The rose gold color I selected is so pretty, and it is a well constructed curling iron so I know it won't break easily. I also like that there are different temperature settings, an auto shut off, and a really long cord!

I wish I had not waited so long to open the box because I missed the return window. It gets 2 stars for getting hot quick. I took away 3 starts because it does not grip the hair. The clamp part is not flush to the barrel so your hair (unless you put a big chunk in) just slides right out.

The extra length is exactly what I needed with 24” extensions! It doesn’t catch my hair and works a year later! Not to mention it’s super cute.

This curler has helped my wig game. Although it has an odd smell when in use but other than than, it works fine.

The heat portion works totally fine. But I purchased this because I wanted a clamp to hold my hair while curling, this one has one but it doesn’t fully sit flush with the barrel so my hair slips right out and I end up having to use my hand to hold my hair anyways. Perhaps if you have super thick hair this would work fine for you!

Stopped working after 4 months. It shuts off constantly. Emailed support but have not heard back yet.

I bought this curling iron because of the reviews in hopes that it would actually make long lasting curls but curls lasted maybe 2 hours before they were all gone so I would not purchase this iron again
