It's a spring puller that can pull springs with at least 600lbs of tension. Didn't have a need to test it at higher rates, but it performs just fine at 500-600lbs,

Our elderly neighbor lady in Florida broke the springs in her La-Z-Boy recliner. I told her I'd find the springs and put them in but I sure wished I had my spring stretcher that was 1200 miles away. I looked on Amazon and found the springs and this tool. Both worked great! I left the tool in Florida because I'm sure word of me fixing recliners will spread through the village and I'll be fixing more next winter. Those recliner springs are hard to stretch - get one of these! You'll be glad you did!
