JL Audio 12W7 Foam Edge Repair Kit, 12", 12W7, Extra Wide Roll, FSK-12JL-W7-1 (Single)

My JL Audio 12w7 finally ripped itself apart after 8 years! I wanted to start over with a new install but this product brought back to life this old sub woofer and many bass-head memories. Installation is as easy as following their helpful YouTube video. And guess what? If you misaligned it because you(I) forgot to check suspension clearances while gluing, there is just enough glue for it to be done a second time.(Note:under 2 hours after initial gluing). Performance is equal to the original IN Original Condition, and made me realize that maybe for the last 4 years my 12w7 has been slowly weakening inside its foam surround. If you have experience in building speaker enclosures, this is a cheap and easy way to fix what mother nature has done to your equipment. For those of you who haven't shame on you! Seriously you could try this kit, or send your sub woofer and $ to Simply Speakers and they will get it done. As far as the seller, I have contacted Simply Speakers and they responded quickly and professionally.

Highly impressed. I admittedly used too much glue and made a bit of a mess, but honestly, that might just help it hold even better—so no complaints there. Paying $60 to repair an $1800 subwoofer? That’s hands-down one of the best deals I’ve come across in a long time. Would absolutely recommend—10/10. I used car cleaning towels to prop up the speaker plastic.

Honestly didnt really think it would of held up at all, but I followed some instructions and how to install on you tube. As long as u follow the steps and really take your time prepping this actually works really well and it's very simple. I. Happy with the product.

This product works. Had a tool tear my original surround. This replacement sounds as good as factory. Great instructional video as well.

1st off let me say good quality product, I would def recommend this, so if ur looking just STOP here and order. But I am amazed at how fast it got here, it was supposed to arrive between the 23-26, I ordered about 4:00 pm on the 17th and it arrived at 3pm on the 19th ( You can bearly mail a package next door that fast).
