The little flip down wing to allow the camera to be mounted doesn't stay up and interferes with installing the item on the tripod. You can make it work is you mess around with it or install the base with the tripod upside down in the air... Not great. I got a different, slightly more expensive, one that has a metal wing and a built in spring to hold it up.Edit: I just realized I didn't get what was pictured either! The little flip wing nut thing on what I receive was plastic and not metal like the pictures.

The design doesn't allow them to fit in the tripod openings they claim to fit in. Both the bigger ones as well as the small ones are too big to even fit one side in. Would have to take sandpaper and a hammer in order to get it to fit at all.
