Good companion!
Excellent, lightweight, ultra-portable everyday cloudbook computer - plenty fast enough for web browsing, office applications and entertainment, though this is definitely not a gaming machine. Remarkable screen: glare free but almost as sharp and deeply coloured as a good glossy screen. Superb keyboard: don't let the slightly quirky layout put you off - it soon becomes second nature, and despite the small form factor it is comfortable and accurate for touch-typing long documents. Long battery life - a good 12 hours on light duty - fanless and very cool-running. Rather odd lid pattern is more attractive than it might appear in photographs, and resists fingermarks better than a high-gloss finish.

Linux gem
If you're wanting to buy a windows laptop to use day to day, this is not the laptop to buy. It's slow, the screen is bad, and even just doing a basic windows update, the laptop's cpu was maxing out at 100%. You would be better off buying something more expensive, or looking at other used intel processor laptops with an i3.However, if you are wanting a lightweight linux laptop and are capable of installing an nvme.2 drive, this is actually quite a nice & cheap option.I bought this used for £124 along with an nmvm.2 ssd that I immediatley swapped after attempting to boot windows, along with installing a lightweight linux distro. For £145, (as a curiosity purchase) I have a laptop that runs Xubuntu easily, has a long battery life, and is small and portable to allow me to do basic web browsing and work on a very minimal budget that I can take with me everywhere.

Was a bargain
I needed a Windows laptop for travelling. This is small and light but ideal for my needs. Battery life seems good. The screen is fine. As with all Windows laptops, it takes forever to do the initial setup and updates! Unlike previous Windows machines I’ve had, it was not stuffed full of trial software. The only trial software was McAfeeThe description said it came with Windows 10 but mine came with Windows 11.As others have noted, it comes in S mode which means you can’t install software that isn’t from the MS store. It’s very easy to disable this.I plan to add an additional SSD for my data as there isn’t much space left on the C drive.I think this was a bargain. Very impressed so far.UPDATE:I notice it has shot up in price since I bought it so do shop around.I have fitted a 500GB SSD for less than £40. The laptop is now perfect for my travel needs.

Painful Setup
This doesn't come with Windows 10 it comes with Windows 11 Home edition. The setup of the computer was very painful. Trying to install Google Chrome was very painful and, at first, wouldn't download. This is because "S Mode" was activated, stopping you from downloading apps outside the app store. You can turn this off from somewhere in the app store. Once this was turned off, I could download Google Chrome from the web. Still, getting that setup was slow and frustrating, with the webpage not responding.I had considered sending it back at a few points during the setup. However, that said, having done a restart on the computer, it seemed to have a new lease of life, and everything suddenly speeded up. It would have been given 5-stars if the setup process had not have been so slow and frustrating.UPDATE: Unable to connect to mobile hot-spot, down to 1 star from 3 stars.Extremely disappointed. I bought this because of Asus.
