Great Alternative to Bottled Water – Highly Recommend!
I've struggled with water quality since moving to Florida. Some friends recommended this pitcher, but I wasn’t convinced at first, so I kept buying bottled water. I thought I’d need one of those expensive filtration systems to get good water, but they were out of my budget.Eventually, I decided to give this pitcher a shot, and I’m so glad I did! It works great—I even find myself drinking more water now. Bottled water often smells bad as soon as you open it and sometimes has a weird plastic taste. But this filter does a fantastic job, and the water tastes fresh. Plus, it’s small enough to fit in the fridge, which is super convenient.Overall, I definitely recommend it!

THIS model of Brita Pitcher filtered water pitcher is the best. Period.
I absolutely love this Brita water filter pitcher because of it's build quality, value for money is too notch, the water clarity is unparalleled, the water taste is so clean/delicious, and this fits perfectly in my refrigerator side panel while being rounder as a newer model but still fits with room for another item! Although the speed of filter water goes slow at first, it speeds up after a few uses and that goes with any filter so long as you don't forget to soak it first so the lesson is: soak the filter in water first and the speed of water through the filter will go faster!Trust me and get THIS model of Brita water filter pitcher because I initially got one that was way too small and the model was defective because I tried to get some off brand that was really cheap. It only held 5 cups of fluid. THIS Brita Brand Filtered Pitcher holds 10 cups and is more than enough for 1-2 people!! Fill insulated water bottles and track on a mini dry erase board on fridge when you entered a new filter in so you always have filters ready AND so you remember when to change the filter every 2 months! There's other brands of filters that are compatible I think but check first...such as Amazon Filters? Check online on the site first but the Brita filters are not that expensive at ALL! Look for lightening deals and jump on those! This is REALLY worth it to buy THIS especially over plastic water bottles which adds up in price and hurts the environment. This is a good choice for you! Please trust me on this and check out my picture keeping in mind my fridge doesn't fit any large items at ALL and this is Huge!!!!

Must have for college dorms, especially.
This product works amazingly. I bought this pitcher for use in my college dorm during my freshman year, which was 6 years ago. The town my college was located in was relatively renowned for not having very good tap water at all. There were times the water was definitely not clear. This filter allowed me to stay hydrated without having to leave my room for a bottle filler several times a day. The size was great for lasting about a day for one person. When my roommate was home, it was likely I’d have to refill it, but that wasn’t a big deal to me. It filters relatively quickly; definitely not as slow as something like a Berkey water filter. The parts are very easy to clean, the white color never stained, and it definitely met my needs for what I purchased it for. As I’ve left the dorms and moved into apartments, I’ve kept the pitcher. The only moderate hassle is keeping up with the filters, which is more than likely my ADHD brain and not the fault of the filter. I’d sharpie the date I changed it onto the filter box and try to mark my calendar for 2 months down the line so I’d remember, incase anyone is as forgetful as me. Then when I’d put the last filter in, I’d add filters to my grocery list so I wouldn’t get stuck without good drinking water. There have assuredly been times where I’ve gone longer than 2 months, and while I wouldn’t recommend that for health, it never tasted weird or made me sick, except for the time I neared 4 months. Then, it definitely started having a taste. But that’s user error and not a product fault.

Misleading…..
I’m sure it works great, but everything from the listing images to the box to the instruction manual included—all refer to the “SmartLight filter indicator,” which mine did NOT come with. I spent several minutes digging through the packaging and looking around to see if I had missed anything. I pulled up the Amazon listing and had to scroll down to the features to find that “lids may vary,” meaning you may or may not receive one with the SmartLight indicator. In the instruction manual included, there was a SEPARATE instruction to “refer to a separate instruction card for the calendar sticker,” which took me forever to even find because I was so focused on the literal instruction for setting up the indicator. Maybe include the aforementioned in the same step/paragraph instead of at the bottom of the manual? It’s not the biggest deal in the world, but I am frustrated because I spent way more time on setting this pitcher up than I needed to. Brita, please make it clearer that there are TWO types of reminder systems, and that which one you end up with is at random. That way I wouldn’t have been frantically digging through everything and worrying about returning the pitcher for missing pieces.*5-month edit (November 2024): I’m adding a star because my initial disappointment/confusion has waned as I’ve gotten good use out of this pitcher. I am a water drinker, so I do feel like I’m constantly refilling this thing—which makes me glad I bought the 10-cup instead of the 6-cup but makes me wonder if I need a different option with a larger capacity. That being said, the filter does significantly improve the taste of my tap water, and I’ve had no issues with it thus far. I’ve been using as directed and have changed the filter every 3 months, so everything seems to work fine.
