Outward Hound Hedgehogz Stuffed Dog Toy – Soft Plush Hedgehog, Grunts & Squeaks, XL, 12" x 8.5" x 9"

My dog is obsessed with this hedgehog, and will play with it until eventually it wears out from being constantly chewed and carried around. Good quality toy, with the grunting and squeaking he absolutely loves. He’s a big dog, so the XL size works well.

I’m not usually one to review, but this is such a hit with my dog! We have bought the small squirrels that also can be stuffed in a log for years for our dog. He loves them and they hold up fairly well compared to other stuffed toys we’ve bought. We decided to give this one a try and it has been a huge hit! He loves the squeaking and the grunting sounds, but also just throwing it around and pouncing on it. We’ve had it for about a month (which is an record for a toy of this size/type with my dog) and he chewed a hole big enough that we had to pull the squeaker and grunt out, but he is still loving playing with this hedgehog. We will definitely repurchase when this one fully bites the dust.

This was my goldendoodle’s first toy and it’s now his favorite dog toy and the only toy that he will play with. He carries it around all day. I’ve had to buy extra because sometimes he brings it outside and it gets dirty or he gets over stimulated and starts to dig for the squeaker. It’s not extremely durable but I’ll keep buying it to make him happy!

This is a cute toy. Soft and makes sounds that are intriguing to dogs. However, it is definitely not for large dogs that like to chew and supervision is a must. I gave this to my dog and then stupidly left the room for a moment thinking there’s no way he could get it open because it’s very well made. When I returned, he had already ripped the seams along the top and pulled out part of the stuffing to get to the mechanism that was making the sounds! I shoved the stuffing back in and sewed it together as best I could but there was no saving the sound maker. Now he ignores it and it sits forlornly in the toy box. Great for puppies and dogs that aren’t so curious to figure out what is making that sound!

The minute I opened the bag, my Shepsky pounced on this toy. I ordered an XL for my 79-lb Shepherd-husky mix, which is a great size for her. She loves all the squeaks and grunting noises and has abandoned her other toys for this. She’s fairly gentle with toys for a large dog. This should last a while because it seems durable and well sewn with quality materials. Well worth the reasonable price.

WINNER:: I am absolutely blown away by this indestructible chew toy. At Christmas time I ( of course ) bout more than several gifts for my two Boston Terriers. " Graci" " Corky" get two They said. Well these two demon dogs got their gifts and out of the SIX toys ? This one is still alive and well. Corky hold it between His paws and had chewed and pull out the some of the hair ( just some ) it's one of Hos favorites the other 5 toys are in the trash these dogs demolish everything they get . This toy is bonafide , straight up the absolute BEST it's hard to believe . Well done ! Thank you and woof woof

I bought the Outward Hound Hedgehogz Plush Dog Toy in small size as a Christmas present for our 9-month-old Pekingese puppy, and it’s definitely her favorite gift this year! The moment she saw the cute little hedgehog with its spiky faux fur and round nose, she knew it was for her, pouncing on it, carrying it everywhere, and squeaking it occasionally. She loves shaking it vigorously and tossing it around the room during zoomie sessions. The light weight and small size is perfect for her little mouth. She can easily grab it, chew gently, and carry it proudly like a trophy. The built-in squeaker is engaging and keeps her entertained, which is a great with a puppy full of energy. The hedgehog appropriate coloring and plush material is soft and cuddly too, so she’ll even flop down and snuggle with it when she finally tires out. After a week plus of daily play, it’s holding up well with no rips or wear. She’s not a destructive chewer, just a typical playful pup. If your dog is more aggressive, you’ll probably want to supervise or choose something tougher, but for small breeds like our Pekingese, this is great. It brought us all extra joy on Christmas morning, and it continues to be her go-to toy. We highly recommend it for making your puppy’s holiday or any day special!

Good news is my 6 month cavapoo loved it, bad news is it lasted less than 24 hours. I have stuffing all over my house but having the squeakers out was also a silver lining. We use the squeakers now on walks to get his attention. I’d also like to had how funny the squeakers are. This one has two mechanisms that make noise; one of the sounds is the traditional squeak and the other is a hedgehog sound I guess ( not sure ) but it’s comical. Just wish it lasted longer because my puppy loved it while it lasted.
