This Dealmed Padded Orange Rolled Aluminum Splint belongs in every home first aid kit.This splint is designed to support an injured or fractured limb until medical treatment can be obtained. It has an aluminum core which is completely encased in a closed cell, waterproof, foam. The splint is 4 1/4" wide x 36" long and can be folded over on itself for greater stability or it can be cut to the length needed. The directions for use are clear and easy to understand. Once you shape the splint, just wrap with an ace bandage (not included) to hold the limb securely in the splint. Add a triangular sling if it is an arm injury and you have stabilized the injury until medical treatment.At this price, you can keep one in your cars and in hiking or camping equipment.

Got this to add to my First Aid kit in my Jeep. I am slowly putting it together and this was a great addition. I can see how this can be used in multiple ways and that's always a good thing. This seems like it is really flexible but can be used to support a arm or a leg if need be with some ace type bandages or self adhesive tape. I hope to never need this but am happy to have it if the need ever arises.

A padded flexible splint like this is a must have for all extended first aid kits. I have a couple of them, one in each of my kits. This splint is well padded and has a flexible metal core which holds it rigid to whatever shape you want it to be at. The directions are included on an insert on the outside of the splint. The splint does have some pictures with directions only on one end of it. I took a star off because other similar products that I have in my first aid kits have better directions printed on the product. This splint can be used multiple times and frankly, the paper instructions will get lost or tossed at some point.
