Banging flavour
Love this. Up there with some of the best poke sauces I've tried.

YUM! Well balanced umami flavour, tasty with fish!
I really enjoyed this sauce, it’s got a well-balanced savoury umami flavour that’s slightly salty and reminds me of miso. It’s definitely zingy and mild with a bit of a kick and I could taste the sesame seed oil (which I love) intermingled with the soy sauce. What I couldn’t taste at all was the orange… in its place, was the taste of lemon juice (the kind you get from a bottle) but funnily enough, I actually rather enjoyed the lemon flavour and thought it worked well with all the other flavours! The sauce has a very watery consistency and resultantly works well as dressing. So far I’ve tried it as salad dressing, as a dipping sauce for spring rolls and chips and stirred through cooked veggie rice. I also think it goes brilliantly with grilled fish and prawn dishes and this is probably my favourite way of using the sauce. My other favourite is actually mixed in with nut butter so you get a thicker sauce: peanut butter for a quick satay-esque flavour and almond butter for something nutty and tangy that’s a bit different. So, I personally think this is a really tasty sauce, very versatile because it’s one of those “goes with everything” sauces. It loses a star for having no orange flavour whatsoever when that’s the flavour you probably really want if you’re looking at something with orange in the title (and over 50% orange juice in the ingredients list...) I’m sure I’ll get this again, I’ll just be armed with some orange zest next time.N o t e s :Long shelf life (9 months on my bottle). Store it in the fridge once opened and use up within 5 weeks of opening (easy!)
