This was really effective and keeps me covered until my color appointment. You can just swipe it on like you would mascara on you part or the area by your forehead let it dry and then I brush a little. Covers my greys! I have light brown hair with blonde highlights and it blends in fine. Last all day and washes out easy. Have not been in the rain though so I don't know the waterproof capabilities.
