Autoloading Super 8 Movie Film Reel - 400 ft. (7 inch) (Black)

Using a Wolverine to convert old super8 mm film, Ii needed to change from metal reels to plastic reels as the metal ones do not work well with the Wolverine. These reels were very reasonably priced and worked great. They are hard to find as 8mm film is obsolete. Moment Catcher Productions is a very good company to find these hard to find accessories for old film reels.

Worked great, good build quality. This is the exact same reel as the regular 8mm reel, except that the regular 8mm reel comes with the super 8mm to 8mm adapter so it will work on both. This will only work on super 8mm

Bought this as a decoration for the wall of our media room. Spray painted it silver and now it's ready to hang.

This is a self wind up reel. The problem is the spring type fingers (that make the film self winding) prevented the film from rewinding correctly on the reel. I am afraid that if I continued with the movie it would damage the film as it looked like re edges was curling up on it. I tried to tet urn it but the co. Wanted to replace it? If I'm not happy with the original what makes them think the replacement would be any better? I'll just chalk it up as a bad experience
