PureIllusion Scientifically Tested PreFilter for IQAir HealthPro Series Air Purifier - Ultra Premium Filter fits PreMax Module - Genuine Crystalline Pre Filter

First time I’ve purchased a non IQ Air filter in 17 years or owning my IQAir Air Cleaner. What prompted me to try the PureIllusion filter was a price increase to an already expensive filter along with now having to pay shipping charges. The IQAir supplied filters have always been topnotch in performance, fit and on time shipping so the PureIllusion has big shoes to fill. Anyway, about the name, Pure Illusion! Who chose that name? From Miriam Webster, the definition of illusion is:Definition of illusion1a(1) : a misleading image presented to the vision : OPTICAL ILLUSION(2) : something that deceives or misleads intellectuallyb(1) : perception of something objectively existing in such a way as to cause misinterpretation of its actual natureThe product is a Pure Illusion? I certainly hope not. Perhaps a rebranding is in order.About the product, the PureIllusion HealthPro pre filter. It is sturdy in construction, feels about the same as the IQAir filter and as I had mentioned fits perfectly. After starting up my HealthPro there were no strange odors or signs of anything amiss. Since I just now installed the filter I will post and update later about its performance. Starting with a pre filter as my first non OEM experiment seemed pretty risk free. Next I’ll try the odor and VOC filter when the HealthPro signals a change is needed. Still debating about the HyperHepa replacement and that decision will be based upon the performance of the PureIllusion filters.UPDATE 8/22The Pure Illusion IQAir pre filter is working great. My air monitor shows zero change from the time an OEM IQAir pre filter was in service. I detect the same airflow and noise from OEM filter. My air quality PM2.5 is exactly between 0.0 to 2 as it always has been. The higher value appears when my house is being cleaned or multiple people are around. For me this is now my go to pre filter for my IQAir Healthpro Plus. Definitely recommend!

EASY to replace in air cleaner lasts a long time

I had reservations about buying this filter over the one that comes from the machine's manufacturer but thought I'd give it a try.These filters are as good as the OEM filters in every way. They are NOT built cheap, they function just like the OEM filters do, they come packaged in a plastic wrapper to keep any shipping dust from coming into contact and the company even puts a very good sheet on how to install it and how to reset your air machine's filter counter. Great filters! I gave it 5 stars for easy to install but only 4 stars because of the price. I still think these filters (each of the three) could be around $10 less each. Other than that, these will be my go-to filters from now on as I have no reservations about Pure Illusion's product line.

I've been buying these for a few years now and I keep returning to them. They don't last as long as the originals but they do the job. I have two of these Healthpro filters and I can't tell any difference from the originals so I'll keep buying.

This replacement filter came in a quality box, and had nice instructions inside. The included instructions on how to reset the filter life was a very nice touch. Faster than trying to figure it out from the manual.The filter fit perfectly. This item is noticeably lighter than the OEM filter. I believe that it is because it uses standard density polystyrene foam, while the OEM filter uses high density.The other difference I found is that the OEM filter has spacers to keep the pleats in the filter very even. This replacement filter does not, but I doubt that it has significant impact, especially considering the savings over the OEM filter.

This is a real good product, I think. Packaging is attractive and it comes with outstanding installation diagrams and instructions. I have ordered this brand and others previously. This brand was far more impressive.

No noticibke difference from the OEM prefilter vs this one. I appreciate the lower cost because the OEM filter is grossly overpriced.

It is great and works as advertised. Will purchase from this vendor again. This is my second year using their filters and they are excellent.
