The unit is entirely plastic and feels pretty sturdy for an all plastic design
I've only been using this for a week now but I haven't experienced any problems with tension (I'll update immediately though if I do).I placed it behind the door in my classroom and it currently holds a broom, lobby dustpan, swiffer sweeper, and a swiffer wet jet.Install was mostly painless. I used a drill with a 2 inch Phillips bit (you'll need something longer than the standard one inch bits in order to sink the screw deep enough due to the long and narrow opening of the screw holes). Six screws in all were used. Generally, you'll want to mount this onto studs but since studs are never placed as closely together as the screw holes, you may want to consider drywall anchors do it doesn't eventually rip out of the wall.The unit is entirely plastic and feels pretty sturdy for an all plastic design. I see the hooks breaking eventually but I doubt I'll ever use them (maybe for a duster or hand broom?).The broom handles are held up by a series of rubber balls that move in only one direction: up. Hence, lifting the broom upwards releases it, while the weight of the broom pushing down keeps it in place.I spent all of 5 minutes deciding to buy this, so I didn't do my usual 2 hour research on what else is out there. But I liked the price, and the fact that it's not some tacky blue and white colored monstrosity. Until something breaks, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Pretty good, had some issues
This broom holder is ok, but I had some problems with the 'pins" falling out and trying to get them placed back correctly. Resulted in one of the compartments not working properly,
