They are pretty bright (12w LED)
Just got 2 of these today. They are pretty bright (12w LED), which I'm happy with. What I was concerned with whether they would have too narrow of a focus (more like a spotlight rather than a floodlight). Purely by accident, one of the bulbs came shipped with the diffuser clamp (a metal spring ring that keeps the plastic diffuser in place) that had come loose, allowing the diffuser to pop out. And as it it turns out, it's much better without the diffuser! The diffuser does focus the light into a narrower center beam, which only shines on about half my 10" x 20" glow flat when placing the bulb about 9" above it. But remove the diffuser and viola! I now get a nice wide and even flood pattern that covers the whole flat. Just pop out that little spring with a small screwdriver.I should note however that the diffuser on mine is clear, not the white one showing in the Amazon picture. So it might be a different version.

skeptical at first as I've only until recently lived in Florida where I most certainly didn't need a grow lamp. The light really does seem to help plants through the winter months. My beloved aloe plant actually survived the winter...and more so...kept growing. I did have a few neighbors ask about the purplish-pink color emanating from behind the curtains in the room where I stored the plants. After hearin I was just testing various color schemes for the mini-brothel I was planning to open on sight, most questions about the odd light vanished. Odd. I know, right?!

Excellent light and a bargain!
Getting ready to start vegetable seeds for our garden. These lights look to be exactly what we need: good color range and economical electrical usage. Shipping was super fast, lamps packaged very well. We looked at several LED grow lights, but pricing can be astronomical. These were a great deal!

Nice quality
High quality and pretty bright. It gives off a pinkish/ purple light. My only complaint is that it has a narrow beam, maybe enough coverage for one plant in an 8" planter. I use it to supplement natural sunlight and it seems to work well. I will update this

For $3.50 I can't complain. Worth $10+
Not bad. $3.50 shipped. I bought a few because I'm addicted to shopping and can't pass up a good deal. Needed one for my house plants and outside plants for when I bring them in during the winter. Bought a $15 bulb and it got hot. Saw this one for $3.50 and figured I would do a comparison. This one doesn't get hot. The $15 bulb was brighter, but I could buy four of these and be much brighter. It's a more of a pink light, and the $15 bulb was "cleaner". Don't know if that makes much of a difference, but it was noticeable. I downloaded some app and got some measurements. Here's comparison to the $15 bulb. If you can get these for $3.50 just buy them. They're worth every penny. I just don't know what I'm going to do with all of these bulbs now!

So far the lights are working great. Plants are growing strong. Heat is minimal as advertised. I placed tin foil around the outside of the shelves I am using for extra reflection. This prevents the stems from bending. Would recommend this product
