Works for Calcium Oversaturation
Calcium fell out of solution my first year maintaining pool water in a large Intex pool after i added too much soda ash too quickly. SC-1000 corrected the problem within 24 hours. Follow the instructions and be aware, if it's used initially during the pool season, your pool will not hold chlorine for about a week. Next year, I will use this with the first fill. Even though I never added weekly maintenance doses,the pool never clouded again from calcium over saturation. I did still get mustard algae late in the season.

What a Blessing!
We built our pool a year ago. Our pool guy was having a hard time balancing the chemicals. Finally, it hit us. We had a small leak that turned into a big one throughout the year. We had no idea until we got a notification from the water company saying the water had been running for over 24 hours. Over the last 6 months, the calcium buildup started and it wouldn’t get any better with brushing. Our pool guy suggested this product and it has worked wonders. It took a bit to start seeing and feeling the results but it has definitely been a lifesaver! As the water heats up throughout this early summer, 80 degrees and up, our pool walls have started to become smooth again!

Great for pool maintenance
I continue to buy this product as it cleans and maintains my filter and removes calcium build up on my black slate fountain.

User Beware... massive, lengthy chlorine loss
I assumed — like other Orenda products — this was good, simple-to-use product.Wrong.In my salt pool with mild/medium scale issues and few metals, it killed the chlorine levels for a week and left a weird scale in my new $500 SWG cell.While this is casually mentioned on the label, Orenda owes folks a much better explanation as to the chlorine-loss issue… if you dig, you can find further intel but it needs to be far more prominent as lack of chlorine in a pool can be a deal breaker for some.

It works
Definitely breaks ups and dissolves the calcium. I still have a little but made a huge difference in just 24 hours. A second treatment would be needed, but I was starting with a calcium build up problem.

Does not do a complete job
It was advertised as de-scaling within a few days. The scaling diminished some but not as advertised.
