PRO ELEC PELB1502 1 Gang Extension Lead 2m, White

Grabbed this PRO ELEC 1 gang extension lead for the workshop and it’s been brilliant. Sometimes you don’t need a fancy multi-socket surge protector, just something simple and tough — and this is exactly that. The build quality is excellent — thick cable, solid casing, and a good snug fit for plugs. It’s a decent length as well, enough to reach across the bench without leaving wires stretched everywhere. Used it for running heavy tools like drills and sanders and it’s handled everything without any overheating or dodgy flickering. The cable is nice and flexible too, not stiff like some heavy-duty ones can be, which makes it easier to coil up and store when not in use. Only thing to watch is there’s no neon indicator light, but that’s not a big issue really — just plug in and go. Really reliable and well-made extension lead. Ideal for workshops, sheds, garages — anywhere you just need simple, tough power without faff.

Delivered promptly, well packaged and appears to be fit for purpose. Seems to be of good quality with a thicker cable than I expected for the price.

Extension leads are not built like they used to be, and it's all done to minimum cost these days. This one is no different. The plug and socket are light weight, and the plug has be opened if you need to change the fuse. I'd have preferred a plug with a removable fuse holder. I noticed that my lead started to heat noticeably when I tested it for boiling a kettle of water. That's not something I'd have expected, and I suggest it might be best not to run 13 amp loads through these, even though that's the maximum quoted rating.

I bought this so I could charge my car from my regular plug socket and I was worried that it wouldn't be able to cope but it has and it's brilliant! I got this at a very low price and I want expecting much but I was truly amazed at the good quality of this extension lead. It's been outside in all weathers and has performed perfectly. The single gang puts perfectly through my letterbox so no more squishing cables underneath the door! If you're looking for a safe, reliable, single gang extension lead then this is the one for you!
