Second purchase of this rope - makes for a great, long-lasting cat scratching post rewrap. First rope rewind lasted several years abuse by two vigorous cats. This project takes two people. Do not try rewrapping the post by yourself. You will not enjoy such a rash act.

I used this product to replace the sisal on a cat scratching pole i have. Can't attest to its durability but it appears sturdy enuf to last a while for what it replaced.

Good product at a reasonable price

I used this rope for a cat scratching post, and won't be ordering it again. The rope is inconsistent diameter; at most, it's 5/16", and at worst, I measured sections approaching 1/4". Comparing undamaged sections of the old original rope from the scratching post with this poor quality rope was like night and day. I don't expect this rope to last long on the post with the substandard thickness - the manufacturer is short-changing consumers on material. Look for a different brand, as this product doesn't meet spec and is a ripoff for what you get.
