does this harness work for a 2001 jeep grand cherokee?

Yes, I used this harness for my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the the Infinity system, to install an aftermarket stereo, except for one thing. These Jeeps provide a separate ground wire that attaches to the back chassis of the original stereo. Because of this, these Metra harnesses do not include a ground wire connection. However, most aftermarket stereo harnesses do include a ground wire. What to do? To avoid having to splice the separate ground wire of your Jeep, I would recommend getting an 12 a gauge male tab connector to attach to the harness ground wire of your new stereo, which you can use to insert into the female connector of your Jeep. Metra should have included one, but I guess they want to nickel and dime you.

can i use this for my 2001 pt cruiser?

using the 'will it fit' guide at the top of the Amazon page for this connector it says it does fit your PT Cruiser. BTW it made my stereo install very easy, and with no cutting and splicing of the wiring harness.

Take the radio out and take a look if your car has two plug gray and black. I am pretty sure will work

Does the harness have wires for steering wheel volume and scan controls

The harness I used did not have spare wires for those controls. My Jeep does not have steering wheel controls for the radio functions. The only wire in the Metra harness I did not use was for a power antenna.

It is a direct fit and is very easy to connect to your head unit if you use those tiny screw clamps to join the wires (or you can solder + heat shrink for the best durability). Connects straight to the factory connectors behind the dash

quedo perfecto para no dañar mi arnés original que en el caso de las Voyager 98 viene muy justo, facilita mucho el trabajo de instalación, quedando una instalación limpia, confiable y lo mejor que queda listo para cambiar el estéreo rápidamente, el calibre del cable es bueno ya que incluso es mas grueso que la del arnés que traen los autoestéreos comunes.

Tengo una Chrysler Voyager 1998/Dodge Caravan 1998. Este arnés quedó perfecto para conectar un Kenwood KDC-X305. Usé empalmes de tope para una instalación un poco más limpia y también compré el Metra 99-6229 para poder adaptar el radio 1.5 din a 1 din para un acabado bien limpio (si deseas un radio 1 Din este es perfecto ya que originalmente el agujero es 1.5 Din). Simplemente une los mismos colores y quedara perfecto! 10/10 estrellas
