Finally Won Me Over!
It took me a while to love this pillow. It’s a bit firmer than what I really like. However, the firmness (medium-firm) is what I need. Due to injuries in my mid-back, I have set the Amazon record for pillows ordered. I have tried everything due to discomfort. The Ghost Memory Foam pillow has won the battle and came out on top. Here’s why: (1) I am a very hot sleeper. We downsized and our new place has amazing insulation, but that means it’s hot even in the winter with thermostat on 64. The Ghost pillow is the “coolest” pillow I have tried, with its cooling technology and has helped me sleep comfortably. It is very breathable because of the aerated holes. The cool-burst of air from those holes really combines with the cool to the touch fabric to create a cooling sensation when you lie down or roll over. The phase change coating is for real. These 3 things work in concert to keep the pillow cool. Gel pads and other more cool on your cheek technologies feel colder but the pillows with that technology result in trapping heat for me because they are not breathable. I have given the topic of cooler sleep a lot of thought and tried a lot of pillows. I believe the key for hot sleepers is to find a breathable pillow that moves air and helps you sleep temperature neutral through the night. The Ghost cools me down, keeps my temp neutral over many hours, and as a result, gives me deeper, more restorative sleep. (2) I am a broad shouldered side sleeper. The Ghost queen has just the right amount of loft. The pillow aligns me perfect. It is like getting a chiro adjustment. I wake up with no pain! Honestly, it blows my mind. So, the cooling and alignment has won me over and has led me to sleep that energizes me. And, (3) the pillow’s feel is getting more comfortable for me and I now love it. It is a great value!

The Rolls Royce of Pillows!
There is no one pillow that will work for everyone. It's important to get that out of the way first before I begin praising the GhostPillow. Unfortunately, you have to try it out for a few nights to know whether it works or not. In my situation, I had already purchased the GhostBed a few months ago and my back was feeling better than it had in years! My neck, however, would still ache occasionally and I decided to upgrade my pillow to something worthy of our new bed.I had always used the classic poly-filled pillows you see at the big-box stores on sale for $10. It's just a pillow, right? They would feel great for a week or so and then never retain their original loft. Down-filled never worked for me as my head needs more support. My wife bought a replacement memory foam pillow about a year ago and loved it(as I said before, pillows are a very personal thing so we each buy our own)! I never thought I would like it, but after 'stealing' it a couple times I was convinced.Long story short, I couldn't find the exact pillow she has and after looking up GhostBed online I found they make a VERY nice pillow(some say the pillows are even better than the bed!). Yes, it's expensive for a pillow. We have the bed already and I was impressed so after reading the reviews on the pillow itself I made the plunge! It did take a few nights for me to adjust, but now being a couple months in I'm very happy.Pros: Packaging. Think of it as what Apple would do if they made a pillow!Support. FIRM, but forgiving(if that makes sense?). Initially, you think your head is going to be toohigh, but the memory foam contours just right without feeling like you've sunk in.Cool. I've never been too hot with it and there's even a nice 'whoosh' of air as you lay down due tothe design.Material. Same as the bed which is a soft, quilted feel. Also comes treated with a lavender thatgoes away eventually, but is never overpowering.Cons: Cost. At $85 nobody is going to say it's a bargain, but it's hard to put a price on comfort. However,GhostBed does promotions for free pillows with purchase, but you're probably not buying the bedjust to get the pillows- the bed is pretty awesome though(see my other reviews here)! Also, there'susually used ones on this website from folks who probably got the pillows for free and didn't needall of them or tried it out and it just wouldn't work for them.Personal Preference. Like I said in the beginning pillows aren't 'one-size-fits-all'. My wifewho has tried mine still prefers her off-brand memory foam pillow to mine even though it wasn'teven half the cost. Just because it's pricey doesn't mean it will work- I just got lucky!Five stars for the best sleep I've ever had. Worth every penny!Jae

Horrible pillow that will stain your bed and give you a migraine
Lets get down to brass tax, should you spend 80 dollars on this pillow? Hell NO! Luckily I got the pillow for free by combining black Friday deals with Amazon rewards for signing up. Now lets get into why this pillow is not worth 80 dollars or even 20. First, does the pillow keep cold like it claims? No it does not. While the pillow does not warm up like other pillows it does not stay as cold as claimed. Secondly, the pillow comes with a horrid stench out of the box. I have read that this smell is supposed to be lavender and it is supposed to help you sleep. It actually smells more like a chemically created artificial lavender mixed with burning plastic. You know that smell when you walk into a friend's house and they have sprayed copious amounts of air freshener to mask the fact that they just crapped out death itself? That is what this smell is reminiscent of. It is like the company knew the pillow had a horrible plastic smell and decided to cover it up with cheap artificial lavender in hopes that you would not notice. Also, after about a week I noticed a stain on my bed where the pillow sat. This means that God only knows what chemical leaked onto my new mattress and left a stain. Would you want to sleep with your head on a pillow that does that to your bed? I sure as hell would not. Lets now get into how the pillow slept. It does cradle your head amazingly well. The pillow does not go flat and is very comfortable. However, I would wake up with a splitting headache and my eyes hurt. This is probably due to the chemicals I was inhaling all night. In short, only get this pillow if you have no sense of smell and like sleeping with a gas mask on.
